I recommended and setup one of these for a client the other day. The performance doesn't disappoint. This is perfect for work. If you want a laptop for games you need a discrete graphics card, this is no good.
I would be happy with those brands, but both have their lesser drives. plus "probably" is even more ambiguous. what is your assumption based on?

My parents bought a very similar lenovo laptop about a year or so ago, that was fine other than a really poor keyboard. Not too bad for a bit of browsing but I wouldn't want to do much typing on it.

I have vowed never to buy a lenovo laptop again as I have had nothing but problems with mine. Do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs. If I prevent one person from making the same mistake as me then mission accomplished..

Would rather lose the DVD Rewriter and drop the price and weight.

agreed, in fact lose the DVD and add a 500GB for storage.

128 SSD is too ambiguous for the "Specifications". anyone know which drive it is?

hardly, you dont see 500GB 1TB, 2TB being advertised as Seagate, WD etc.. it's more than likely a kingston or sandisk drive, but what ever it is at this price its plenty fast enough..

Specs report 3-4 hour battery life, so don't get this if you need to be using it while on the move

Battery life is often forgotten when these deals are posted.
Well done for picking up on this

Anyone know if this is any good? Seems a decent price for the spec, especially considering the 128gb ssd.

Purchased one for a friend last week, seems a very nice laptop. The only thing I didn't like was the poor screen viewing angles and blacks turn to white or colors discolor if you're not bang in line with it. Also note that a few other sites list this as coming equipped with a fingerprint reader, it doesn't. Lastly it has the pre November update Windows 10 so set aside 2 or 3 hours to upgrade it.

SSDs are cheap now, so it's not surprising to see a laptop for this money with one. However maybe it's the first one I've seen with a relatively new CPU and SSD at this price.
