Very sad that, according to Facebook, people have ordered bulk quantities thinking it is actual Lego. I despair for humanity.

Re the Lego post that was listed 4 hours ago. I rang the Education Officer at Lego to let her know what was happening re the charges to our accounts of £7.96. She's very nice and was grateful for the heads up that there is a problem (she said that they had tested it and tested it and is now horrified that there is a problem). The actual cost is zero and so there will be no charge. They use SAP accounting package and it forces you to enter a minimum value of £0.01 - you cannot enter £0.00 when you are selling something. She advised that all of the orders are going into a bucket and if it had worked correctly the £0.01p would never have been taken. Subsequently £7.96 will not be taken (or if it has, it will be refunded). She said they definitely want people ordering. I said I would let everyone know on the group what she said - I spoke to Faye the Manager, she was very nice IN THEORY IF YOU HAVE BEEN CHARGED YOU SHOULD BE GETTING A REFUND NEXT WEEK WHEN STAFF RETURN FROM WEEKEND IF NOT CONTACT LEGO YOURSELF.

Software to build lego projects ...but you need to buy the projects for it to be of any use.
So it's free as it's basically useless without the hardware.
Also if you have Window 7 ...IT WON'T WORK ....as you need a hardware dongle to plug-in !

What is LEGO WeDo?
LEGO WeDo allows children to add electronics to LEGO models. The range includes sensors to detect inputs as well as motors that can be programmed.
The kits include LEGO pieces and electronics modules that connect to LEGO. There's also software to control the models and with some packages, lesson materials are also included.
Kids build models and write the code to control them using drag a drop software. LEGO WeDo can be used to build a range of documented models or kids can design and built their own inventions.

I've got it now, so this is the whole curriculum with all of the experiments, but you need the motors, sensors, PSU etc to enable the software to do something.
That's a shame, I had hoped to bodge something together to enable it to work.
