Same experience here with the Poundland Electrek models - bought a GU10 and a BC, both failed within a month. False economy.

i have been using the poundland gw10 size and no problems after several weeks of daily 8hour stretches.
Just bought some bayonet cap globes 10w off amazon light supplier 3 for £10 and might return them if homebase has any tomorrow. thanks for that.

Got a basketful at Romford, though others were filling two wheeled baskets.
Yes, the 810 lumen, 12W = 60W were the stars, but I'd expect them to come up higher than the supposedly 60W equivalent 11/12W CFL's - on a somewhat unscientific test (Lightmeter app on phone), the 5W poundland LED (on stress test) was beating an admittedly well used 11W CFL.
Now I think of it, while I got a stack of the "60W", maybe I should have bagged some more of the "6W=37W" - on that measure, the others should equal 70W.
PS. While the 6W do not have a specific heatsink or vent, the back section feels cold to the touch, maybe white coated metal, rather than the plastic of the poundland ones.
And a quick measure up suggests that the 6W will sensibly fit the place I was originally lining them up for - doesn't need golfball, but they need to be a little shorter to avoid poking out from the upturned glass shades.
Might swing back there tomorrow for a few more 6W, but probably all gone, the rate they were going, though it was the 12W that were really shifting.
Also made a 50p mistake, 32W circular that I though might do in a nominal 40W fitting, but it's way smaller

I got some of these the last time they was on offer, have worked out good so far. Pity there's no G4's available, I bought some off EBay but have had five out of the ten blow so far within weeks. Not the best, I guess it's worth paying that bit extra for better quality.

Homebase, Hedge End, Southampton, Sunday afternoon - loads of bulbs, many sorts and sizes, LED, Halogen etc, all at greatly reduced prices (50p and £1). Includes some circular tubes.
They are not in the electrical section with all the other bulbs. As you go in, turn right and go right to the end, past Habitat, to where it says something like "Clearance Bargains" on the left. There are TWO aisle ends with the bulbs, so check both of them.
Many thanks to the OP.

If you are referring to the op's deal. Take a look at the picture it says 810 lumens and 60w

What wattage and lumens are they? If they are the LEDs I've seen in Poundland over the past few months, they'll be very low, and useless for anything except illuminating the inside of a wardrobe or similar.

They are bright as ****! Put them in our corridor but think I will downsize as they are burning the eyes when I go pee at night, I would say they are as bright as a 100w bulb

The poundland 5W models are not very reliable, out of 5x 5W candle, 2 have already failed... it's too much in the smaller sizes without venting or outboard heat radiator (but currently stress testing a 5W golfball, 10 hours at a stretch) before I class it as good for where it's actually wanted.
Also, the smaller bulbs are normally in somewhat confined shades, which makes heat issues even worse
Now a 3rd one of the 5x 5W poundland candles has gone ... kicking myself for losing receipt. PS. Good teardown review of those Poundland Electreks ... https://youtu.be/b_eU3ZpN6aE
Note... the Poundland 5W standard globe is VENTED
PS. Homebase TCP 12W models - metal finned back as heatsink.
TCP 6W metal back (no fins)
Poundland - plastic (vented on the standard globes)
Poundstretcher (Hyundai) 7W - unsure by the touch test, seems cool to be plastic, but nothing like as cold to touch as the TCP ones
