The "offers" fridges were empty in mine but there were loads left on the "normal" cold food shelves!

These are tiny. Mouthful of meat if that.

I've always found that the the Lidl Lamb Shank - 450g - was plenty for one helping
A bit expensive at £3.29 - but it's excellent value at £1.99
Just hope that your local Lidl has the Lamb Shanks in stock!

Shame the gravy tastes like cheap cat food. So my cat assures me.

You can always add your own gravy to the "mix"!
It's the meat that counts

so you would have got these for £1.65 if lidl hadn't scrapped the half price weekend offers.

Perhaps a local restauranteur turned up early and bought them all? Might be on a local menu this weekend for £15 with a tiny bit of mash?

Had a few of these and they're really nice but actually quite small compared to the local butcher and not much difference in price

I see what you've done there!
You have mistakenly compared the ingredient cost to a ready meal ...
Mind you, your butcher must be pretty cheap to be knocking out raw lamb shanks at around £4.50/kg ...

Just bought 3 packs in Crewe!

I haven't mistakenly done anything, I intentionally compared the two. Yeah the butcher is cheap especially if you bulk buy off him like I do.
