Bought this at beginning of year for £29 for the year. Took my son to cinema and saved £9 there. It's a good idea but not for everyone but for £1 it's got to be worth a go.

Don't waste your £1, nothing on the site you cant get elsewhere, cereal packets etc.

I bought it for a year and I did save £86 booking with Haven in May. I did the normal site and the site through KIDSPASS so there is a saving to be had !

What happens after 60 days? It's not very clear on their site... Do you have to continue to subscribe or can you cancel. Their Terms and conditions seems to say you can only cancel within 14 days

I particularly like in the terms "You're Rights" which shows just how carefully they proof read what they write. I can't see anywhere in the terms where it says how long your aparrently compulsory automatic renewal is for (a month, a year?) nor how much it costs. Combined with the inability to look at any of the actual offers unless you've already signed up means I won't be investing in this. Sorry but I'm out.

Don't do it we brought last year for the kids eat free deals which all stopped in our area a couple of months in. You can get the offers if you look for them on vouchers sites or on restaurant apps. Plus it's auto renewal and difficult to cancel!
I save atleast £15 on a trip to the cinema! Only joined for £1 can't complain

Not easy to find but you can search by region to find local offers kidspass.co.uk/offers
Depends what offers you are after. Saved around £140 already , not bad for £1

Depends what you are after. We haven't used it for anything else apart from buying cheap cinema tickets as we couldn't find a cheaper way around tickets. Your child doesn't need to be with you in cinema you can get ticket for anyone. We have saved so much with it. And it's only a £1 ...do we need to read reviews before spending £1?? come on!

to make you aware of T&Cs
You have the right to cancel your initial term of membership with us within 7 days from the date you received the membership Pass and documentation. This is known as a ‘cooling off period’. 2. To cancel you initial membership you should contact us by telephone on 01612448225 or write to us at York House, Vicarage Lane, Bowdon, WA14 3BA. 3. If you cancel your membership within the cooling off period, you will be entitled to a refund less our £15 administration charge and any pro rata charge for the period of membership. 4. Refunds are subject to the returning of your Kids Pass membership card within 14 days of your cancellation. 5. You will be responsible for the cost of returning your Kids Pass Membership card to us. 6. We will not provide a refund after the cooling off period has expired.

I read the Refund and Cancellation Policy and for me it states "£5 administration charge, which is calculated to be a genuine estimate of loss we will suffer in the event of a cancellation."

Same question as bodolf, how do you use this card to get discount at the cinema? Can you use online to buy an adult or a student ticket( for a child over 14) or is it just available when buying tickets at the box office face to face??

26 Feb 16#32
The kids pass website is awful - have to flick through 10-15 pages to check if there are any offers that would interest me. Cinema is probably the only thing that would save me money so anyone with pass explain how it works? Is it accepted at all cinema chains etc?
I also want to know what cinema you can use it at and how it works. Anyone??

The terms for the £1 90 day pass can be found at kidspass.co.uk/kid…pdf which doesn't show any £5 / £15 cancellation charge. However it does say you will automatically be charged the full price for a year (£75) Certainly not the best website / clear and fair T&Cs
You can cancel your membership and automatic renewal at any time during the first 90 day period by calling 0161 244 8225 Monday – Friday from 08.30 – 17.00 or by writing to us at York House, Vicarage Lane, Bowdon, WA14 3BA. You will receive an email to confirm the cancellation of your account plus a cancellation reference number for your records.

Ok I've used it personally so here's what you need to do. Go onto the app and follow the link in the cinema section, then you buy a voucher (costs me under £7 for adult in odeon) when you pay on the app it gives you a voucher code and you get the same code in email as well . Then you can simple take that voucher code to the cinema to buy a ticket or buy your ticket online on odeons website and instead of paying with your card you use the voucher code and it brings the total to zero. Then you can collect your ticket on the viewing day from cinema by giving you odeon booking reference number. I've bought few adult tickets and used them but never needed to take kids with me. Or you can simply give the voucher to anyone/friends family and they can use it to buy a cinema ticket.

Participating Odeons are at kidspass.co.uk/ode…pdf. Seems to be all Cineworlds and Vue cinemas though.
Not knocking the deal as there's plenty of discounts to be had for a quid. However the Odeon "discount" worked out dearer than my local standard price of £5 per ticket.
Cineworld - Adults 3d £8.87, Adults 2d £6.45, Kids 3d £6.71, Kids 2d £4.97
Vue - Adult 2d exc. London £6.99, Adult 2d inc. London £8.59....with no mention of kids tickets!

I have a kidspass card sat unused in my Walet that expires end of this month. Not sure how much I paid for it but was a complete waste. Tried to get some value out of it today to book family ticket for the Picturehouse at Henley but not only is the app and website completely disorganised they give no indication if their discount electronic vouchers are instantly despatched for use the same day and also only mention redeeming them at cineworlds website even though they mention it as a picturehouse deal. The measly 5quid saving is not worthe the 20 mins or so wasted navigating their rubbish apps/sites and getting my log and passwords sent to me for tickets that I may not even be able to use today. Phoned the cinema and purchased direct instead.
Reminds self to sort out cancellation before I get stung by their renewal fee....

yep, waste of time and money. I forgot all about it and then got an auto-renewal card through the post. Phoned and emailed to cancel and they told me to get lost and would not refund. Bunch of scammers. Even the biggest thieves out there (insurance companies etc) give you notice of auto renewals. Not this bunch of Dick Turpins!

You give your bank details then it's a rolling year thing ....I forgot to cancel and they've taken another year out ...at full price which they won't refund

This is what it say's on the site: After the trial period the membership will auto renew onto a 12month membership at a discounted rate. The yearly rate will be advertised at the time of registration both clearly on the terms and conditions.
The membership can be cancelled at any time during the trial period.
So best make a note on your calendar to cancel or be charged.

Don't both with this. There is nothing in our area. Missed the 90 days to cancel my subscription by 5 days. As I forgot all about it, as there was nothing local to us. So been charged £29.99 for a year's subscription I won't be using. Email kids pass to get this cancelled expected it wasn't for us. Reply was no refund what terrible customer service. No email to inform you coming to the end of free trial. Not even a email to inform me money has been taken out of my account. So don't was your money.

Does anyone know if this allows me to get discount on movie tickets at Odeon in London - the PDF has a column for M25 and one without - and its slightly unclear if it would work for London Odoen cinemas - can someone please confirm?

They take 39.99 for the entire year off you in one go and make out payments are monthly it's a rip off. Currently trying to get my money back via my bank.

Nah....their terms n conditions are pretty tight. Make sure you get in writing your cancellation so they dont do auto renew next year.
Discounts are pretty standard and similar are available all over the internet.
Their headline discount rates aren't so good once you take into account their admin/processing fees (for cinema tickets)

DONT DO IT!!! Don't b lured in by their £1 deal they will make it difficult for you to cancel therefore will just take £39.99 off you and say you haven't cancelled and that they /can't won't refund even tho a letter requesting to cancel was sent just read all trust pilots reviews to see how many people they have scammed. The deals are really rubbish not worth paying the £1 never mind £39.99
