Imagine a wind tunnel that could be used for testing the aerodynamics of an F1 racing car, turn it upright, jump onto the airflow and you are skydiving. It's a proven concept operating in several countries to the benefit of the skydiving community and anyone else who wishes to taste the thrill of freefall in a completely safe environment.
After check-in there’s a short class with a video brief and instruction, then it’s off to collect your flight gear. You and your group will enter the tunnel and take it in turns to fly. You will enjoy two flights lasting one minute each; that's about the same as three tandem skydives. In your first flight you will learn the basic freefall position to then practise in your second session.
Key Information:
Location: Milton Earnest, Bedfordshire
Duration: The experience will last approximately 1 hour but please allow 1½ hours at the venue.
Group Size: It will be just you in the air with your instructor.
Weather Dependent: This experience is not dependent on weather conditions
Spectator’s info: You are able to bring along spectators to watch.
Restrictions: This experience is available Monday to Sunday, throughout the year.
You must be reasonably fit to participate in this activity and there is a maximum weight restriction of 114kg (18 stone). It is not suitable for pregnant women, if you suffer from a dislocated shoulder or wearing a hard cast.
The minimum age is 4 years old (under 18 year olds must be accompanied by an adult).
No qualifications or experience are necessary.
Your voucher will be valid for a minimum of 11 months.

Wow! I thought that my local Boots was pretty sizable, but if the Milton Keynes one has indoor skydiving, it must be bloody huge!

This is a good price to try it and I think worth it for a laugh. I enjoyed the one I tried. I got two goes in the wind funnel of 1 minute each and if it's your first time they are both 'learning' goes.
Oh, I only live up the road and was aware of the Airkix at Xscape. Just assumed there wouldn't be two so close to one another. Thanks for the info.

2 minutes is about right same as the Milton Keynes one... If I was closer I'd deffo pick this up!! 4 hours driving soon adds to the bill even with 4 of us going. 2 minute sis a long time when you're in there and it feels amazing when you're on your own and can just make yourself fly up so quick and that :-)

Actually stuff it, ordered 2 and going on a double date lol
Just received confirmation email, so going through at this price fine on boots verification.

Does anyone know anything about their Go Karting experience? Who is the actual racing company? Any good?
I've actually done this a couple of years ago in Bedford Bodyflight, and it cost three figures then! it was a great cheek wobbling experience that my brother got me for my birthday.
It was a bit tricky to find just outside Bedford and you end up getting about 5 mins "in the air", but definitely worth it for the "flying" experience. I was talking to a staff member there who was in the tunnel with us and he said he got the position through the job centre! he liked to show off with his Mate a bit,, doing Superman impressions through the exit tunnel...Also 5.05% TCB, through a dedicated link on TCB site - reckon this is going to be really popular, can't believe the price, maybe they are closing down?
