Championship side Huddersfield Town have just announced that season tickets for the 2016/17 season will be priced at £174 for adults.
Chairman Dean Hoyle has used the additional TV revenue to subsidise ticket prices for fans rather than it going into player pockets
Now managed by Jurgen Klopps former assistant at Borussia Dortmund, David Wagner has brought a new brand of football to Yorkshire making them one of the highest scorers since taking over.
In a year when other fans have had to protest at single match tickets rising to £77, this is fantastic value and works out at £7.78 per game - one tenth of the price Iain Ayre wanted to charge Liverpool fans!

Well done Hudersfield Town, not a supporter but this is good for the fans, I've been priced out of going to see my local team, I miss the old days when we were unfashionable but affordable!

Now all Huddersfield needs is an A&E department. One of the biggest towns is losing its Hospital A&E because the PFI deal meant that the NHS Trust has to pay £20m a year for a hospital in Halifax that cost £65m to build and will cost £770m over 60 years when it ends in 2058.

Deano gets lot of stick at times but he's been great, he's not just a chairman but a terrier also. Town fans should remember he saved us when we were in a dark place.

After last seasons shock of getting relegated... partially due to the owner having a costly identity crisis.
The owners have rewarded the fans in the cheap seats with another annual price increase... for 2nd tier football!
Attendances have dropped despite on field success and I'm sure promotion will be rewarded with another price increase.
Nice to see owners building for the future of their community and club with actions rather than words.

With a world class university and excellent location just off the M62 the town has been growing well, I find it diabolical that lives are less important than the profits of financiers. The hospital build has been paid off this is just umbrage.
Not to derail this thread but a great town and club deserve at least a functioning A&E.

About time clubs stepped up and remembered this is a working man's game and not the big spenders. Clubs need to remember who made them who they are today. Well done others should follow suit including the so called big guns.
Have to say as a 25 year season ticket veteran, this is a fantastic gesture by Dean Hoyle.
Town really are looking after the fans, and that means everything.

This deal is about Huddersfield Town and fair play to them, I hope other teams follow their example. This is a hot deal and includes cheap entry to their cup final next season.
I hope Swansea City do this when we go down to the Championship this season.
Doubt it though, they charge parents £540 for their kid to be a mascot.

Town are getting better under this new manager, I support Liverpool as I grew up there and all my family are from there but was born in Huddersfield and lived there for a good while so I do follow progress of the club and goto matches now and again, bargain for a season ticket
