Just popped in to my local CPW to get one for the wife on 02 Payg, asked if it was unlocked as she has a giffgaff sim (mentioned she might just use the 02 sim instead) and they promptly said they couldn't sell it to me and it would have to be sim free £160!!! I said in that case she will use the 02 sim and save £70 but they said they didn't trust me and wouldn't sell it to me. Absolute joke. Warning to others.

At the risk of repeating what's already been said ... I just purchased one if these, ordered mine on the internet and delivered to store, and can confirm it is unlocked. Using mine on the Three network. It's a great phone and the only two things I don't like about it are ;
1. No heptic feedback. Had to switch to Google keyboard but this is only available when using keyboard and not system wide. This isn't everyone's cup of tea anyway.
2. I don't like the UI that comes with the phone so I've switched to Nova launcher and prefer this.
Otherwise it's a great phone. You must remember the price your paying for this and given the spec I don't think you can go far wrong. If you want the more expensive phone people tend to compare this with then just reach deeper into your pockets and buy it.
Very similar in size to the Sony Z1/Z2/Z3 range. Good all round spec and does the job.

Also, I went in store to ask about phone and mistakenly said about using my sim in handset after being told all phones, except iPhone, were unlocked. He said he couldn't sell me the PAYG knowing I'd be using another sim and I'd have to buy the sim free handset.
So ordered the O2 PAYG on line.

well mine has one IMEI but i see both 'TPO' and 'O2' showing up on the top left of the phone all the time and can recieve calls etc from both sims, so maybe one IMEI is hidden ie the phone software for some reason can only read one IMEI but the other is there not the less ...so like some im confused too,
ken218
27 Feb 16#286
That's what made me confused. I am pretty sure P8 Lite is dual active, and yet only one IMEI is displayed with I type *#06# :S
However, i *think* mobile network can handle duplicate IMEI because the combination of IMEI and IMSI is what operators used to uniquely identify the connection - again, i could be very wrong...
jakeby
27 Feb 16#285
One IMEI number cannot be used to register two SIM cards at a time on one or differnt networks.
If phone is "dual-active" it must have two IMEI numbers, because the phone networks cannot handle the same IMEI number used twice simultaneously. Some Dual Sim phones are "single-active" where only one SIM is active at one time, so only one IMEI is needed. https://www.quora.com/Why-does-a-dual-SIM-phone-have-two-IMEI-numbers

guess i am wrong then as i havent upgraded to Marshmallow yet, anyhow as someone said, what the point of having two IMEI, the fact is my p8lite now has dual-sim and both sim working ok.
and as someone else said on this thread, i too thought IMEI was to do with the device itself and not the sims.
but now im interesting in finding out whats the point then of having two IMEI ?
ken218
27 Feb 16#280
For all the other dual sim phones I have used, they all have two IMEI (zenfone, moto G (1st and 2nd gen)). Also, some screenshots of p8 lite online shows two IMEI. IMEI is associated to device connected to mobile network, so when you have dual sim support, both phone module should have been able to uniquely identify themselves to the cell tower.
of course, I could be very wrong here.

Sorry if this has already been asked but decided to get one for OH.
If you enable the dual sim which could be handy do lose the ability to us that slot again as for an SD card with out re flashing .I assume the answer is yes as what I am saying can it be intelligent enough the recognize SD or Sim card.
john4536 to zeberdys
22 Feb 161#266
no you dont lose using the same slot with your microsd.
ie after enabling dual-sim, you then have a choice of either using a sim card in the slot or using a microsd...i know this as fact as ive enabled dual-sim myself on my p8lite.
re wether it smart enough to recgnise what's in the slot - in slot 2, the micosd card is placed on the tray horizontally and a sim-card is placed vertically, so whr the electronic contacts meet on the phone when it's microsd inserted or sim-card inserted are in different places.

Hey all,
Great post and interesting read
Really tempted to buy one but wondering if I'll be disappointed with it? Coming from an iPhone 4s which I refuse to update from ios 7 after it's rendered our iPad unusable!! But it's at the point now where battery lasts me hardly anytime at all, it crashes and freezes a lot, volume button gets stuck on + loads which is really annoying and I refuse to pay £600+ for a 6s!!!
Anyone been in a position similar to mine, will I be impressed with the P8 lite compared to a 4s? I'll miss not having iMessage with family but I guess we could use what's app. Not really any other ties to Apple, will just have to get used to different OS. Had a HTC Magic years ago which I hated hence going for Apple and never looked back, but I guess times change as do the depth of my pockets! For £95, seems like an unbeatable deal really...
Suppose I could sell on eBay if I really don't like it as used unlocked they seem to sell for circa £100 on there!
Cheers

I already posted about it. For some reason I failed some security check after placing an order on line. I have no clue how I could fail a security check. They won't tell me anything about the check or why I failed. I can't buy anything from them even standing in the local store today offering to pay in cash.
There is obviously something wrong with their security check, what annoys me is their absolute refusal to look into and do anything about it. Annoyed, but, having spent a few hours interacting with them over this not surprised. There is something wrong with most of the systems and service they provide. I don't get the impression any of the staff care much about it.

Well, I've owned one for nearly 2 months and think it performs about as well as the Galaxy S5 I owned before it. The S5 did have a better camera though to be fair not that the P8 Lite's camera is bad.

preecey to znh
20 Feb 16#231
I have a Smart Ultra 6.
The Smart Ultra 6 has the better screen, faster processor and stock Android.
The P8 lite is cheaper and has more added value features such as gesture controls that Huawei has added.
The P8 lite has the better camera.
The P8 lite has a smaller screen.
It's up to preference really. If you find that a 5.5" screen may be too large for you then the P8 lite will be more manageable. But the screen quality on the SU6 is far superior.

From what I've read above, CPW ask the mobile number of the PAYG sim and their system checks that's it has been active for at least 6 months then you'll receive a code via text message. This code has to be quoted in order to get it for the lower (upgrade) price.

How does one go about getting this handset for £79.99 without having to purchase a £10 topup? Currently with O2 pay monthly and not currently a customer of CPW. Looking at two comments above it appears you need to have an active PAYG (not pay monthly) sim and provide them with the mobile number to which they send a code via text then you quote that to them to get it for the lower price. Have I understood this correctly?
Thanks.

19 Feb 161#212
I believe you need an active Vodafone sim for £79.99, i.e, a Vodafone pay-as-you-go sim that's been in use for 6 months. They do credit check for Vodafone customers but not O2 (see link). Who can upgrade through Carphone Warehouse?
ika
19 Feb 16#210
They ask for an active and eligible payg and they text you the code to use with your order. Otherwise you can't get it at the advertised price (£84.99 in case of O2). I have just received it today.

never bought a phn from CPW and so not sure -
can i use a pay monthly sim?
and is it really the phn number or the number on the sim itself?
braders86 to rasdonny
16 Feb 16#43
Should be fine to use a monthly sim. It only uses the sim number ( one next to the gold chip ) to verify an O2 user which saves you having to buy a £10 top-up.
I moved to GifGaf, but the number doesn't work. A lot of us without O2 sims have some begging to do on here.

19 Feb 16#209
Not sure if you're correct, I phoned CPW, they said it has to be a live PAYG card, they send a code to it and you must give them code to get discount.

It's certainly not a quick method, my p8 lite had quite new firmware on it so I had to take the longer route, maybe 2 hours just getting an understanding of the guys procedure and gathering the software but it is a really good tutorial. Initially I did a quick method that worked but meant I would not receive any other updates, I went for this method and immediately updated using the phones inbuilt service.
If you do this, the first big flash sits dormant for a very long time, I panicked and went searching for answers as to why it had locked up but some time later registered successful.

To be honest if you are not used to say doing stuff like 'rooting' an android phone you may find it a little bit daunting, but if you slowly read and re-read the instructions and understand it first and then follow the instruction carefully its really easy
what you are really doing is simply changing the 'firmware' to a one that has dual sim included in it as the firmware it comes with does not have dual sim included but it does have the hardware built in ie the phone can do it as the slot is build for that and it all depends on the software (firmware) installed on it.
john4536
19 Feb 161#196
i can confirm that it doesnt come out of the box as dual sim but that indeed can be changed.
remussica
19 Feb 161#195

rasdonny
19 Feb 16#194
not dual sim out of the box (because of the firmware it comes with) but you can get it to be dual sim easily - use this -
An earlier deal posting of this phone from CPW said the second sim slot wasn't activated, so has anyone actually got 2 sims working in it out of the box? Cheers

I ordered this phone yesterday, opted to have it delivered to a neighbour and received a text to say it had arrived about 11am this morning. First impressions are very good, it is unlocked despite various misleading comments on here. Camera seems good, vast improvement on indoor photography compared to my Samsung S4 mini. Screen is massive and very clear. I'm sure there are better phones out there but the camera,16gb memory and low cost won me over after a lot of deliberation. Only downside for me is the non removable battery.

Went out and bought this from Carphoneware house. Store clerk assured me it was unlocked as I wanted to send it to a friend in France. He asked which sim card I wanted. I said whatever as I wasnt going to use it anyway. So he picked EE and i paid. Turns out this increases the price by £10!!! When I pointed this out to him he said "I asked for the £100 phone deal" and "no refunds on sim cards" so I had to accept the extra £10 charge :/
Bit naughty imo, watch out for phone salesmen. He knew exactly what he was doing.
P.s. does anyone want a £10 EE Pay as you GO sim card for £20? xD

I have never dealt with CPW before (thankfully), never come across a company that manages to fail so hard at every opertunity. Can't buy on line, I fail their security checks but they won't tell me why. I phone sales to see if I could order on the phone, after going round in circles the guy says it will probably fail if I order on the phone and still can't tell me why. So I think I'll phone the local shop (despite rip off call charges) and get a message saying something about I can't be connected and to try later or contact my service provider. So I think I'll try their 0800 number see if they can check stock at their stores. Go through the menus get put in a queue, wait 6 minutes and beeep I'm disconnected.
Some of their automated telephone menu lines don't work, get part way through and get stuck on the same menu because it ignores key presses. Just have to hang up try again and hope you get a good one.

It's impossible to do a full credit check on you unless you enter bank/employment/residence/salary etc details. If you didn't enter these details, and why would you if you're just outright buying an item online, then no credit check would have taken place.

Buyer beware. CPW are fast becoming a joke of a company. Tried to buy a PAYG handset (with £10 mandatory topup) just after Christmas. The sales rep (the branch manager no less) after trying to sell me the SIM free equivalent for double the price, flat out refused to sell me the PAYG phone as he openly asserted I'd "only just use up the credit and then put my own SIM in". I get there's an 'invitation to treat' and all, but this experience left me beyond words. I've since complained to their "CEO team" and almost 2 months later still waiting...
Don't try to buy a Pay monthly contract online again - taking lots of checks can harm your credit rating. We've loads of great deals on Pay As You Go, that don't require a credit check."
Now the Questions are -
(1) Why would CPW do a credit check on me when the above says no credit check is needed on PAYG (I bought this phone on PAYG plus the requred 02 sim 10 topup)?
(2). What do i do now that the transaction was refused because of failing their credit check (which is a complete surprise to me) ?

it's just annoying more than anything and i'll be gutted if it hasnt' gone through for whatever reason. but I have a conf email and dispatch just no follow up. if i go into store they'll probably just say "we havent recieved the item there's nothing we can do without tracking info" and i'll have to explain that i wasnt given tracking info due to being a store delivery then they'll tell me to email and sort it out and by time all that is done there could very well be 2 new versions out!

Thats what i thought too...but however recvd an email from [email protected] saying -
This was due to you failing the credit check criteria required by the network you selected....etc
And this is all after being with Three uk, for over 10yrs and never failing to pay a bill and not even having any balance on my credit card and not having any debt anywhere and my current account being an 'Advance' current account , and being on the electorial register and bought my last phone from currys/pcworld and own my car etc etc
No. Currys (the same company) delivered an item ordered online and paid for with the same credit card last month. CPW's security checks are crap but more annoying is that they very specifically choose not to do anything about it.

17 Feb 16#141

ck12111 to rasdonny
17 Feb 16#143
No credit check required for PAYG. You usually have to buy a topup with a PAYG phone - thats just how it works and is very often cheaper than buying it sim free, because the network subsides the PAYG price.

17 Feb 16#138
CPW have to be the crappiest company I have dealt with in years. Placed an order, get acknowledgement email followed by an email telling me the order was cancelled due to a security check failure.
Phone them get through to an Indian sounding woman I could barely understand and ask why it was cancelled - she can't tell me and suggests I place the order again. I say if I put in exactly the same information why would it be different a second time? She had no answer. Thinking I might have entered a SIM serial number that didn't match the upgrade phone number and that might be the problem I reluctantly try again (having missed the cut off for same day dispatch).
Go through it all again, get an acknowledgement email then nothing till about 20 hours later I phone them again to find out what is happening and I am told the order has been cancelled due to a failed security check. I am told specifically that they will not discuss the security check they won't tell me why it failed. They have no interest in or mechanism to investigate the cause of such failures - basically telling me to eff off after wasting my time placing orders and calling them twice.
The really annoying part is in return for nothing they now have my personal details to be lost to hackers in their next security breech.
I have ordered online and had deliveries to the same address from dozens of retailers including Currys and PC World which are part of the same group. Their security check failure was erroneous.

I ordered this monday around 8pm (prior to this deal being posted, yes i'd spotted it but no posted it)
anyways i selected deliver to store as i'm usually out when the post arrives and it's a nightmare trying to get to the depot as their opening hours do not cater for working people in the slightest.
their website states: "If you order after 5pm, we'll process it the next working day, e.g. if you order after 5pm on Monday, you'll recieve your order on Wednesday."
that is in regard to getting it delivered to your house though but anyways why can it make it to my house in that time yet not the store apparently? BC I haven't been informed of it's arrival.
it apparently got dispatched yesterday but no tracking info is available if you select store delivery. all the website says is: " If your order is being delivered by Carphone Warehouse you will not get a tracking number but the store will notify you when it is ready for collection." .... I'm paranoid they won't contact me and they'll sell out and cpw will make some lame excuse like they seemed to in the above story and no phone for me :disappointed: *sob*
anyone had any experience of how long it usually takes for the item to be delivered to a store? and how fast they are at letting u know it has arrived & is available for collection?

The reason I ask is because phones running 5.0/5.0.1/5.0.2 should be avoided due to the memory leek in these versions of Android. I couldn't recommend any phone not running 5.1 as a minimum. I'd even take 4.4.2/4.4.4 over 5.0.X anyday.

Such a PITA that they force you to buy a sim card whenever you buy a new phone (unless it's an upgrade).
At the higher price of £100 (with top up), is this still one of the best deals for a phone in this category of specs? What are others thinking?

This doesn't change the fact we will still have to spend £100 on the phone if we don't have 02 or Vodafone sim card numbers. It's only £85 if you have the 02 sim number.
bro631
16 Feb 16#71

Don't be so certain about the dual sim part. The full version of P8 came out in China with dual sim but the UK version was single sim.According to a previous comment on this post, this is also a single sim but there seem to be a way to overcome the issue.

It will be locked to any service that runs on o2.
For instance, if you wanted to put a GiffGaff or Tesco sim car straight in it, then they would work perfect. For other networks you will have to unlock.

So to get the £79.99 price, all I need is a Vodaphone SIM? Couldn't I just buy one for a quid and use that number or does it have to have money on it or used for so many months or something?
kaizhu79 to MadeInBeats

Just chatted with CPW online and they confirmed to be able to upgrade you will need to be on a PAYG sim for 6 months +.

john4536
16 Feb 16#52
Thanks
So not worth all the hassle then as i thought it will be unlocked to all network as the details on the OP description as
that will make it-
phone on o2 PAYG = £89.99
Plus £10 top-up = £10.00
Unlocking = £20.00
total = £110.00

Just checked on mine and it says 5.0 but I know in the States they are on a more updated version. To be honest with the Google Now Launcher installed it's hard to see much difference between the different Android versions. I have also heard that this phone has issue's with BBC iPlayer but I have never used it so I'm not sure if that's right or not.
I got this phone after owning a Nexus 4 and Galaxy S5 and performance is on par with those devices. Not sure about gaming though as I don't play games on my phone.
For the price I doubt you will find much better.

Good all round spec and does the job.

it's so annoying coz I prefer the zen5 in my hand too.... if pony I could have that build bit the camera and memory or the p8 lite....
However, i *think* mobile network can handle duplicate IMEI because the combination of IMEI and IMSI is what operators used to uniquely identify the connection - again, i could be very wrong...
Still not bad if upgrade though
pm me!
thanks.
Very happy with the phone, marshmallow is beta but seems very stable. EMUI 4.0 too.
and as someone else said on this thread, i too thought IMEI was to do with the device itself and not the sims.
but now im interesting in finding out whats the point then of having two IMEI ?
of course, I could be very wrong here.
It is kind of broken (somehow). It should have two IMEI. I guess it is the side effect of enabling the dual sim support.
I bought this phone with the required £10.00 topup and i was then put on the 'Big bundles" tariff, now my question is -
will that £10.00 expire in a month or stay there indefinitely, as i do not plan to use this phone as much and so will not be using up my credit up in a month?
If you enable the dual sim which could be handy do lose the ability to us that slot again as for an SD card with out re flashing .I assume the answer is yes as what I am saying can it be intelligent enough the recognize SD or Sim card.
ie after enabling dual-sim, you then have a choice of either using a sim card in the slot or using a microsd...i know this as fact as ive enabled dual-sim myself on my p8lite.
re wether it smart enough to recgnise what's in the slot - in slot 2, the micosd card is placed on the tray horizontally and a sim-card is placed vertically, so whr the electronic contacts meet on the phone when it's microsd inserted or sim-card inserted are in different places.
Its a great smooth phone, very fast for the average user and a good battery life.
Iphones too expensive and not interested. What about Samsung or Sony phones with a good camera?
Cheers
when do they do the credit check, i never got any mention of one
I'm looking for another android phone about moto G class. If anyone can show me where I can get more phone for around 86 quid without going to china please do. Pretty please because the dicks won't sell me this one.
I bought this phone on this deal and i too think it 'well ok", especially now its dual-sim and now have firmware ending 'B188' and Lollipop v5.01 on it
There is obviously something wrong with their security check, what annoys me is their absolute refusal to look into and do anything about it. Annoyed, but, having spent a few hours interacting with them over this not surprised. There is something wrong with most of the systems and service they provide. I don't get the impression any of the staff care much about it.
This phone has convinced me that I no longer need to buy flagships or even high end mid range phone's.
I don't really understand why anyone would want to buy a phone they thought slightly crap but each to his own I guess.
Cheers fella.
Also are all handsets unlocked whether you purchase it on Vodafone (£79.99 and go through a credit check) or O2 (£84.99 and no credit check)?
Thanks.
Edit - word of warning - your tutorial updates the phone to the beta Marsh mellow firmware which is obviously beta and not sure if you'll then get over the air update to the stable firmware once it comes out
This is a hot deal, slightly crap phone at a very cheap PAYG upgrade price, otherwise I wouldn't dream of ever going near this completely and utterly incompetent company, sure as hell wouldn't buy anything that meant an ongoing relationship with them.
Received it from CPW yesterday.
It is unlocked - have tried it with both my EE and spanish Pepephone SIM cards.
There's one issue: it has the second SIM disabled so you can only use it with a micro SIM (anyone, it's unlocked) and a micro SD card.
In order to enable the dual SIM support I had to follow these steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/huawei-p8-lite-android-6-0-marshmallow-t3309796
Hope this helps.
Regards.
Thanks

TMobile if I recall right, were one of the first to screw that Customer incentive up, by slowly changing that criteria to ONLY 7 Days, & then eradicating altogether!, & a massively disappointing hmmmmmmmmm!!!. :-(
Lol.
would also be on the lookout for a launcher to resolve the above problem and give me an app tray icon. not really looking for anything fancy as not overly bothered about customization. I have previously used google now launcher and buzz launcher but interested what else anyone could reccomend (think a lot of people use nova)
also if i could customise the notification light to be flash different colors for eg call, text, fb, whatsapp, email etc. but idk if there is a launcher or app for that or if it's inbuilt in the phone to only have certain led notification colours.
For the notification lights. You have to do it via individual app settings
E.g whatsapp click setting, and then selects light colour
any ideas?
Then click on 'SIM only upgrades' to see the difference.
Sorry to bring bad news but xXx's advice is inaccurate.
The link you gave only applies to people upgrading a SIM Only Pay Monthly contract.
Thanks.
Who can upgrade through Carphone Warehouse?
can i use a pay monthly sim?
and is it really the phn number or the number on the sim itself?

If you do this, the first big flash sits dormant for a very long time, I panicked and went searching for answers as to why it had locked up but some time later registered successful.
what you are really doing is simply changing the 'firmware' to a one that has dual sim included in it as the firmware it comes with does not have dual sim included but it does have the hardware built in ie the phone can do it as the slot is build for that and it all depends on the software (firmware) installed on it.

I then arrived in my basket and clicked secure checkout and then asked to entered, name, dob, address, and then payment details, no work or bank details etc
and then got transaction went through ok and got the email saying transaction ok and processing and then later the email saying -
The order you placed through http://www.carphonewarehouse.com has been declined and is now cancelled.
This is due to you failing the credit check criteria required by the network you selected.
If you wish to find out more information why you might not have passed the credit check please contact the network directly or check you credit file from an agency such as Experian.
It's impossible to do a full credit check on you unless you enter bank/employment/residence/salary etc details. If you didn't enter these details, and why would you if you're just outright buying an item online, then no credit check would have taken place.
Seems coincidental that they purposely don't provide tracking info and it goes "missing" wouldn't be surprised if they haven't even dispatched it
It says here -
http://selfhelp.carphonewarehouse.com/SelfHelp/request.do?view()=c%7B43171eb0-ce14-11de-e56d-000000000000%7D
"What if my application is not accepted?
Don't try to buy a Pay monthly contract online again - taking lots of checks can harm your credit rating. We've loads of great deals on Pay As You Go, that don't require a credit check."
Now the Questions are -
(1) Why would CPW do a credit check on me when the above says no credit check is needed on PAYG (I bought this phone on PAYG plus the requred 02 sim 10 topup)?
(2). What do i do now that the transaction was refused because of failing their credit check (which is a complete surprise to me) ?
it's just annoying more than anything and i'll be gutted if it hasnt' gone through for whatever reason. but I have a conf email and dispatch just no follow up. if i go into store they'll probably just say "we havent recieved the item there's nothing we can do without tracking info" and i'll have to explain that i wasnt given tracking info due to being a store delivery then they'll tell me to email and sort it out and by time all that is done there could very well be 2 new versions out!
dont expect a carry on like this in this day and age.
it was 8pm so didn't expect next day but thought it wouldve been today considering they brag about being able to fulfil orders the next working day if orders are placed before 5pm.
See what happens tomorrow, if nothing or no email by Midday - Give them a ring.
May I ask what day and time did you order?
Also I got no email about a credit check and have a dispatch email.
Concerned that people ordering after me have received theirs and I haven't. Eve thing I have a dispatch email no tracking for store delivery :disappointed:
Not impressed.
Can anyone shed some light?
Dear Customer,
The order you placed through http://www.carphonewarehouse.com has been declined and is now cancelled.
This was due to you failing the credit check criteria required by the network you selected....etc
And this is all after being with Three uk, for over 10yrs and never failing to pay a bill and not even having any balance on my credit card and not having any debt anywhere and my current account being an 'Advance' current account , and being on the electorial register and bought my last phone from currys/pcworld and own my car etc etc
...whats wrong with these ppl ???
Their security check failure was erroneous.
anyways i selected deliver to store as i'm usually out when the post arrives and it's a nightmare trying to get to the depot as their opening hours do not cater for working people in the slightest.
their website states: "If you order after 5pm, we'll process it the next working day, e.g. if you order after 5pm on Monday, you'll recieve your order on Wednesday."
that is in regard to getting it delivered to your house though but anyways why can it make it to my house in that time yet not the store apparently? BC I haven't been informed of it's arrival.
it apparently got dispatched yesterday but no tracking info is available if you select store delivery. all the website says is: " If your order is being delivered by Carphone Warehouse you will not get a tracking number but the store will notify you when it is ready for collection." .... I'm paranoid they won't contact me and they'll sell out and cpw will make some lame excuse like they seemed to in the above story and no phone for me :disappointed: *sob*
anyone had any experience of how long it usually takes for the item to be delivered to a store? and how fast they are at letting u know it has arrived & is available for collection?
if you did, can you now use the microSD slot as a microSD slot and if and when you need to then use it as 2nd sim slot?
Thanks

"Bought it (Samsung J5) for £130 in the end (with Vodafone sim with £10 top up). Beware, the phone came locked to Vodafone."
The fact that many people have received unlocked phones from CPW is no guarantee that everyone will receive an unlocked phone.

Heat.
At the higher price of £100 (with top up), is this still one of the best deals for a phone in this category of specs? What are others thinking?
Does not matter what network u buy the phone it's all unlocked already to use on all simcards... Also my family member works for CPW
Yes, Me too - All CPW PAYG phones are unlocked
Great price, better price now
The poster telling you it will be unlocked to any network is wrong.
however, your wrong!
£89.99
Plus £10 top-up
my Q is will it be locked to O2 ?
For instance, if you wanted to put a GiffGaff or Tesco sim car straight in it, then they would work perfect. For other networks you will have to unlock.
So in short, no it wouldn't work.
So not worth all the hassle then as i thought it will be unlocked to all network as the details on the OP description as
that will make it-
phone on o2 PAYG = £89.99
Plus £10 top-up = £10.00
Unlocking = £20.00
total = £110.00
I mean to get it at the lower price for upgrade.
I got this phone after owning a Nexus 4 and Galaxy S5 and performance is on par with those devices. Not sure about gaming though as I don't play games on my phone.
For the price I doubt you will find much better.
Would appreciate it it if you could still share it to one of us that is actually greatful for these thing. PM me if you can.
Not to worry if not
...appreciated
No one got any O2 sims around they would share the number please.
No first hand information but have you seen this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdFN0APic1s
Would this be better to replace my IPhone 5 which I had for 2 years. Only problem is the battery doesn't last long. Would the battery for this phone be better or worse I really need to ol replace my iPhone 5.
Thanks anyone who can help.

Good phone and good deal.
BTW, if I don't have a vodafone or O2 sim, I don't qualify as upgrade, do I? So I'll have to pay the 89.99 including the 10 topup, correct?
Also getting Android 6.0 Marshmellow
