Do not know the other specs of your laptop.
Just a guess, have you considered RAM upgrade and change HDD to SSD?
Nowadays, on regular tasks, RAM and HDD are more likely to be the bottle neck rather than A10-8700P.
Or if your system has problems which can lead to slow response too. This can be resolved by a clean install of system, backup your drivers first before you do that.

It gives the same performance as a 5 year old 2nd gen Intel Core i5. My current laptop has this processor. It is damn slow for regular tasks.
Don't waste money on this old piece of equipment, unless you have a lot of patience!
Compared to a quad i7, yes. What do you intend to do with it? If it just office stuff, browsing, watching films, torrenting you won't notice sod all difference, apart from probably the crap battery life and heat.

The CPU is not the problem if you do not use it for intensive purposes.
It is the poor screen, overall poor build quality, and the seller, you need to worry.

I work as an IT refurbisher, that sentence says it all. A+ grade is obviously meaningless, like brand new but scuffed isn't like brand new. The whole sentence is nonsense, just say it as it is, it's refurbished. Nothing wrong with refurbished as long as they're checked properly. People buy used cars, used laptops are a lot less complicated, it's not rocket science to refurbish them to a high standard. I'm not saying that SVP are doing anything wrong, they might well have properly checked decent refurbished laptops, just cut the marketing BS.
Refurbished phones on the other hand, well if you want to do those to a high standard that's a lot more effort than with a laptop.

The only thing you'll Envy with this laptop is people who have £349.99 more than you.

A lot of customer returns on this model. If it's the last year's one the screen is a horrible TN type. Fan is noisy and gets hot quickly.

Performance will be decent, but these AMD APU chips get hot, I used to have a laptop with an A8 processor and after a couple of hours of just using Firefox for example, the temperature would hover around 50-60 degrees. I had that laptop for about 3 years, I'm currently using a laptop with the latest gen i5 Skylake processor and in terms of heat it's so much cooler, my laptop has been on for 5 hours, including an hour of Arkham Knight being played, and it's still only 30 degrees c at the moment.

Did you realise that there is only a 3-months warranty and the maximum 6-months warranty is £25 extra. The company doesn't seem to have any confidence into their own products.
