This was posted a month ago but the deal expired, price went up. The price has now dropped back to £40, I picked one up last night from edge lane store, can't click and collect but can check stock availability online, for the money am very pleased also register online with hotpoint for the 2 year warranty.

Perhaps I'll upgrade my old one as it leans against my fridge, bet these freestanding ones are the shiznit!

I bought the NON freestanding version of this. I was a bit worried that it would end up rolling around my kitchen but i need not have worried as the boffins at hotpoint have done their research and created a unque design shape that is "ergonomically contoured" to sit naturally on a worktop.

I'm now lost with all this talk of freestanding appliances. I thought you could either buy freestanding or built in. Am I missing the point somehow!???

Seems good and bonus as free-standing ones are way better than that cheap hovering crap!

Anybody know if the inside is painted or stainless steel?

Painted silver.
Went and had a look and its tiny, the larger version was beside it a £55.

I would assume all microwaves are 'Freestanding' unless otherwise stated - it's what about 90% are.

I purchased it from tesco in the clubcard boost and got it for £40 but I'm very happy with it as its a bigger capacity than others. although I still haven't got around to using the grill function!

It is good to put it in the description, as the ones with legs are a **** to catch if you unplug it.

It's a great deal but for anyone with a microwave steriliser be careful to check yours fits in: we stupidly assumed ours would (Dr Brown's) but had to return it and look for a bigger one. Great otherwise though.

I don't think it looks cheap either and I'm quite fussy!

Freestanding? Does it come with a stylish floor stand for the living room?

I bought this last month when on offer. It looks great and works fine but there is a lot of condensation inside after use which I never had with my other microwaves.
