The half price large egg deal is a con when compared to the buy 2 medium eggs get 2 free!
2 Medium eggs = 1 large egg. 2 Medium eggs cost £3 and get another 2 free, therefore 4 medium eggs = £3 when 2 large eggs = £4! Tesco are cowboys!

It depends on your viewpoint, we give these out as gifts at Easter. It looks a lot better than giving a bar of cooking chocolate and a handful of mini-eggs because they worked out cheaper per 100g of chocolate, I'd say the same about giving 4 small ones. We'll be making a list and getting these, not the mug ones we have hundreds of the mugs

Agreed, especially as 2 medium eggs weigh up to 394g, which is 35% more than 1 large.
From Tesco's point of view though, they are shifting 4 medium eggs at profit, as opposed to just one large, so of course the price will be better.

The mediums are smaller this year. For example medium Creme egg used to include 2 creme eggs, this year it is only one. So two medium = 1 large.

Yeah proper Cowboys, how dare they discount larger eggs. We all want the smaller eggs.

I'm tempted by the galaxy egg, if my maths is correct it's not as good a deal as the buy 2 get 2 free - those worked out at 59p per 100g for 4 random weights off 4 boxes but the Galaxy works out approx 85p per 100g if I've done it correctly however you've got a different variety to choose from here. Hot from me. Thank you for posting

Last year you also got a Snickers and a Twix. AND it was on offer at £1.50. Ahh, the good old days!

This! I'm all for looking at per 100g etc but these are much more pleasant to give as a gift! There's also a much better selection here than with the little ones.

Yes, I totally agree with you. The value with the smaller eggs was good though for the price versus buying say a Cadburys 4 pack. Hot deal though and have a different selection here.
yep agreed. much prefer the larger ones to give as gifts
