Guitar Hero returns louder and prouder than ever before, featuring all new modes on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii U.
Become the Rockstar you always wanted to be in Guitar Hero Live, as you play the guitar in first person, looking out on the crowd with the bright lights of fame blazing in your eyes! Listen as the crowd reacts to your performance in real-time and lets you know whether your burning down the house or living on a prayer!
With Guitar Hero TV you can play along to hundreds of music videos, spanning different music genres which are continuously broadcast. Discover new songs and artists as you jam to their tunes found on the different Guitar Hero TV channels. Now you can rock out on your own or gather friends for some friendly competition locally or online.
With a new Guitar Hero comes a new Guitar controller! The all-new button layout makes Guitar Hero Live easy to pick up, but difficult to master as you train your fingers to navigate the buttons and play the songs you love. But not everything has changed as the Strum bar and whammy bar make a welcome return to the hands of would be guitarists!

Of course, eventually. But it could be tomorrow, could be in months. Every deal on HUKD could get cheaper.

Really good price - for it but how many tracks on the game? I don't want to fork out £35 and then have to spend another £60 on some decent tunes

Additional songs are provided through GHTV. Two hundred songs were playable on GHTV at launch, and the developers plan on adding new songs to GHTV on a regular basis.[28] There is no backwards compatibility with songs or controllers from previous editions of the franchise; FreeStyleGames' developer Jamie Jackson justified the decision, explaining that Guitar Hero Live was a "completely new game" that existing content would not work with due to the change in core gameplay.[2] There is not any traditional downloadable content for the game in the form of additional songs, instead using the streaming nature of GHTV to provide new songs.[29] FreeStyleGames does not expect to make GHTV content available for offline play.[30]
In addition to regular content, GHTV has been used to provide speciality programming. The service has included a block of videos hosted by Avenged Sevenfold to showcase their favorite songs offered by the service.[31] Def Leppard used GHTV to premiere their new music video for their single "Dangerous" in January 2016

there's no dlc and there are about say 50 tracks in game with probably about another 50 added through gh live. I'm actually really enjoying it now but no practice mode, what the hell Activision?

This is a great game, the changes they've made to the guitar and the game system have really paid off - in my opinion :man:

Awesome game, stonking price!
Only gripe i'm having right now is trying to distinguish the lower and upper buttons when they are highlighted blue for accumulating or using star power.
Hard enough differentiating the upper and lower button icons at speed on screen as it is but when they're all blue....
Other than that, it's a lot of game and gear for not a lot of £££ in fairness

The game is awesome, has plenty enough tracks to keep you entertained for prolonged play. The guitar's design is quite nice, I really liked the idea they've put into place.
The only downfall I found so far playing it(around 2 weeks) is the matchmaking system. Since there are numerous improvements you can install on your "guitar" and different types of hero powers, I find the matchmaking quite unfair more often then I'd like to. Most of the time there is at least one or two other players, which are higher level, have more boosts and..as expected..make more points. This way your chances of being in the top 3 become very slim even if you do great performance (97%+) ..

I think it puts people together who are playing on different difficulty levels. I can hit a lower percentage than others and still finish above them due to some songs having significantly more notes on higher difficulties.
I think that may be your issue rather than boost, but I may be wrong.

I wouldn't say definitely, at some point games stop getting price reductions and then eventually go out of stock at most retailers which usually bumps the price back up. I seem to remember waiting on GH3 to get cheaper and then it suddenly stopped being available other than second hand.

I bought this for £45 from Amazon at the start of January. Got to say, its certainly a challenge, but I think it lacks the charm of the original games. I haven't put much time into it, but I really like the music video option where it just plays music videos and you can jump in and play along if you want.

bought this at Xmas for £39, but haven't touched it after 2 plays.. I could easily complete every song on expert with the old button layout, but my mind and fingers just can't adjust to the new button layout.. will be trading it in against Rock Band instead..

I saw the guitar in Game and thought exactly the same, looked worse than the old ones and I know realism is secondary but it felt tiny and a bit cheap. I'm sure the game is fun but I'll pass and buy Xenoblade

Awesome how cheap this is getting. Clearly they just wanted the Xmas rush!
Agree with comments about the blue colour making it hard to read the notes. And the story mode is impressive BUT you don't feel part of any of the bands you're in. It's like you're pimped out to any band looking for a guitarist. The first person idea is solid (albeit cheesy as hell) but it made the game stand apart from the previous generation of guitar hero.
I've come across tonnes of fresh songs to listen to!
