Unfortunately all of the 6 or so North East B&M stores I tried to buy from on Tuesday were out of stock.Went to Asda and bought 12 bottles of Guinness Foreign Extra but its not the same (currently drinking but its a drier taste).All staff asked said say no imminent plans for restocking but may or may not reappear in next few months depending on their buyer.
Fingers crossed as the B&M (Nigerian?) Foreign Extra is the better of the two versions.

you need to keep you're eye on the dates of them. a lot have January date on then. very short life

B&M always gets these in, well worth the price.
Pretty strong drink so will last well past the sell by date, just keep them out of the sun.
Personally I prefer to drink this just under room temp.

To my Guinness love, you MUST try Nigerian Guinness. It is amazing!

Got this a few weeks ago in my local, but last time I went in it was sold out :disappointed: Shame, it is really nice!

B&M is nowhere near me, but thought it worth mentioning that Costco sell 12 packs of this (i.e. Guinness Foreign Extra, 7.5% ABV) in 600ml bottles for around £24 (give or take a few pennies, I can't remember the exact price) - really nice stuff

My local (Stockton) had a fresh delivery this morning so it is worth checking your local. I've had one just now and this stuff is beautiful, it isn't the first time i've had but it never lets me down.

Can anyone advise whether this or the Nigerian Guinness is better? And how do you tell the difference between the two?

Presumably because Asda sell the made in Ireland drink, whereas B&M sell the grey import version from Nigeria.

Apparently the ingredients are very different depending on where it is made.

The labelling on the Asda bottle is different to to the B&M version.

Just looked this up on ratebeer. A 95 rating! Versus a 51 rating for the 4.2% Guinness Original.
