Got a 70cl bottle of Grey Goose Vodka (in a nice box) tonight in Tesco marked as "Reduced to Clear" for £19.
The past few weeks this has been RTC at £28 from £38 in some of my local mid size stores (not Express or the big Extras, where they are still £38)
Also got Chivas Regal 70cl for £13 from £20 and Ballantines for £10.30
Went to another mid sized store and managed to pick up Ciroc 70cl, the regular Snap Frost version (not the flavoured versions) also priced as Reduced to Clear for £19 - This also has been priced at £28 for a couple of weeks.
So if your stores have had any reduction on these items then its worth checking for the new price as these wont last. No reason this should be a local deal only.
Let the Wild Grey Goose chase begin . . .
Midge
. . . Specially for Phil . . . Yorkgate and Antrim Rd stores. :-) Will check others tomorrow.

Definately doesn't taste the same! However if you can't taste the difference stick to cheap stuff

Thanks OP. Making my first rap video this weekend. On a low budget, so two bottles of Ciroc Vodka in the video will add credibility to the ambience.
So ring and check before you go out on this Wild GOOSE chase!

It's purely marketing. Exact same thing with wine, there is zero difference between a £10 bottle of wine and a £4500 bottle.

Of course it tastes the same. It's 85% pure ethanol which is colourless and no odour.

Decent enough vodka but stupid price in UK . My mate lives in USA and it's about £16 for a 750 bottle over there , so far from a super premium drink . I have tried stacks of vodka neat and this is one of the better ones .. Found Russian Standard platinum quite a lot smoother and less burn than grey goose ..so if you ever see that on offer give it a bash .

Full price in Newtownabbey Tesco, or Northcott rather :disappointed:
Was there many left in the Antrim road one? Just picture my hand reaching out later for the last one and a strangers arm at the same time, "Hot deals"? I'll give you a hug and shake your hand, but I'm taking the Vodka.
What do you have your Grey goose with? I drank it in a lovely bar in Spain, I'm stocking up for those memories.

Last night I poured a shot of both the Goose and the Ciroc into separate glasses and added a curl of lemon rind into each and put in the freezer for about an hour and a half.
Both were very nice and quite different - that said I am not really a vodka drinker but prefer Belvedere for a good Martini.

18 Peroni for £8.50 and the Disaronno was £9.25

This was the Belfast BallyGo Superstore but the vodka was full price in this one.

ffs I was so fixated on the Vodka I was blinded  I think one of my cousins was there, didn't even acknowledge them, there was no time to waste. Standing with my bottle of French Vodka (Bottled in the UK :disappointed: ) with a big stupid plastic security job on it's head. Forgot I needed lemon & lime. Had to head to the opposite end of the place for those.

Actually - a Harvard student also proved that almost all wines are essentially indistinguishable between bad and good.
He ran the test on the Harvard University wine cellar and the results were so upsetting during double blind taste tests the professors tried to deny the research.
Upon leaving academia he then set up a fake wine and to date the wine has been endorsed with every wine magazine award despite not actually even existing.
You know how he got the gold or 5 star rosette? By contributing an "editorial donation".
The fake wine still exist today with over 200 reviews despite not actually existing.

It's all about brand hype . Few would argue iPhones offer cutting edge technology , but it's the brand people buy into ,not the technology. Grey goose is worth what you are prepared to pay for it , tbh I would leave it on the shelf even at £19 , coz yes I have tasted most brands neat .. But like everyone else chuck in a mixer , defeating the point of paying premium prices , the taste variations of vodka get swamped with tonic, coke or whatever . Rather have a litre of green mark or 2 , when grey goose is its normal price .
Opening post
