It probably makes me sound super dull, but I keep all of my tapes except for my 'everyday' sellotape/packing tapes together in a box. So I have gorilla tape, self amalgamating tape, masking tape, electrical tapes, double sided tape, carpet tape etc all together
The rest of my house is in disaray but all my tapes are tidy

Apparently I ordered this for £1.68 in March 2015 according to Amazon - good size and very useful to have a round imo. £1.80 a fair price for 11 month's inflation??

I skip rope daily as part of my fitness regime and do so continuously for 35-40 mins nonstop . I was working my way through weighted steel ropes in no time at all until I had the idea of wrapping the rope at its lowest point where it contacts the floor when I'm twirling.
I usually get the gorilla tape rolls from Screwfix but a this price for the 25mm width roll it's a treat , the 48mm rolls sold by Screwfix have to go round the rope a couple of time making it too stiff skip with

Not sure why I am looking at this if I don't need this (possibly). Silly question perhaps, but what do'ya use it for?

If you look at the reviews on Amazon it will give you an indication of what this can be used for, and how great this stuff actually is.
So far I have used it to fix a leaky tent, tape two mats together to make longer runner, and to do a quick fix on a ripped 'outdoor working coat'.
It's really, just a really strong, super sticky tape ,that can be used inside and outside.

I did a big gaffa tape order for work, and bought some of this stuff too... But I can't for the life of me work out why you would want this, rather than gaffa tape.
It's quite thick, so it pulls up easily, and it's not that sticky either. I guess it's handy that it's waterproof and electrically insulating (I'm guessing).

Any good for repairing a decent BBQ cover, which has gone a bit brittle and has ripped in the recent winds ? Reckon if I can patch it up I might get another Summer out of it...

2 Feb 16#9
As long as the area you are going to repair is cleaned and dirt/dust free, I don't see why not. It normally takes a few hours for the adhesive to be 'super 'fixed, so i would give it a while before you put in out in a gale or heavy downpour.
I have patched a tent, and I even patched a split in my welly and it held up.

Might be ok for temporary fix but a bit too narrow in my opinion but the bigger, wider roll would work ok.
As others have said, when the cover goes brittle, its probably time to throw anyway. I'll cost more in time and tape to keep fixing than the cost of a new, low end cheap cover. I can recommend the weber ones which cost a fair bit more but do the job for many years. Mine have lasted 4 years outdoors and still flexible and no rips. Cheap budget are fine for a couple of seasons but false economy from experience.
BTW, the tape is very good. I keep a roll in the car, one in the tool box/ garage, one in the greenhouse and one in the shed. Will buy one for the trailer tent for the summer too. Bought some a year or so back for £1.68 each on Amazon.
Oh, the 3rd, 4th and 5th pictures on Amazon are misleading as they're of the bigger roll. You get the first and second picture versions, just in case you didnt realise.

I can totally sympathize, although I 'know' where my tapes are (in my cupboard in a see through box) getting to them is a different story.
They are in a walk-in cupboard that; well if you saw the episode of 'Friends' with 'Monica's' messy cupboard it looks like that.
So the box of tapes is sat on a shelf, in a cupboard, where things leap out as soon as you open the door; because essentially the cupboard has reached it's capacity, and beyond....
I just spent 10 minutes wrestling with numerous items just to get to a hammer, and i couldn't get back into the cupboard to put to put the hammer back in its proper place because of a 'stuff' landslide so I just plonked it on top of the rest of the clutter!
Its been tidied again and again, but I'm sure something happens when i close the door, because its messy again in no time.
Its on the to do list, when i can get round to writing the list that is....
Im sure there is hope for us...... we just need to find it.. lol

Lol, I got loads of boxes a while ago, organising different things in different boxes. Trouble is I've forgotten what's in what box! Somewhere amongst them is a spare set of van keys, lost while I was doing the organising!!There really is no hope for me!

I do the same, keep all rolls of tape except sellotape together in one box. I'd call that being organised rather than super dull, lol!

Very tempted, as I know the gorilla stuff is good....only prob is if I buy it for when I might need it, I just know I wont be able to find it when I do need it!

What is the length of this roll? Dimensions in item description don't seem right? Other Gorilla tape listings mention length such as 11m or 32m etc.
Thanks.

The price goes up and down, it has spent most of the last 3 months at £2.79.
I thought I would list it whilst it was at £1.80 again so people could have a chance to get it at this 'better price'...
Ive never seen it cheaper in any other shop so hopefully someone can get a deal.
Plus its one of those items that you often don't know you need it, until you need it, and therefore it makes a good top-up order item for people.
