Return travel direct to Sanford Orlando from Glasgow on may 24th to jun 7th 2016 for £375 with thomson.
baggage can be purchased if required £70 for 20kg.
accommodation can be had for these dates from £400 on international drive if required. (all accommodation is similar on international drive and you will rarely spend time in it so dont get carried away with cost, location is more important if you dont drive as shuttle busses from hotel will take you to parks)

£70 for 20kg is a joke and you couldn't really do it with the Thomson hand baggage allowance.

why not? Florida is very casual dress and clothes are very cheap to buy over there.
also some people own villas in spain and they have clothes there already.
you also have the option of getting your bag sent to the resort/hotel/villa therefor eliminating the need to drag a big suitcase with you

Try Virgin Atlantic. We are going this April as a family of five. We booked through Virgin but used travel supermarket to find the same flights cheaper and got virgin to price match
We ended up with a total flight cost of £2k for two adults and three kids

Look here for accommodation. Print off your Hotel Coupon and phone direct to book - quoting your Coupon price. Organise your own holiday. Book a one way rental car - leave it at Glasgow Airport with the rental company. They'll have another one way rental for you take home. Simple. Or you can just get a flight to Sandford. Orlando and pick up a rental car. Stop at any McDonalds and get a few Hotel Coupon books. Phone for a reservation from a public phone asking for the Coupon price. If you walk in off the street they'll just say the cheapies are all gone. You really save a fortune. I've done it 20 times. http://freehotelcoupons.com/hotels/FL/Orlando/

why cold ? get a direct flight cheaper plus no one is forcing you to take 20kgs of clothes. I have personally paid £70 for 1 bag for 2 adults and a child. its enough, I know this because I have been pleanty of times.

Thomson's package holidays are usually pretty reasonable (usually from £500 PP depending on when you book) but they're a rip off with the baggage if you book flights only.
if you're really hard up you could try Monarch/cosmos...we used them 1 year...i'd rather glue feathers to my arms and flap than fly with them again though.
