Seems that the Gillette Fusion range now has a new set of blades called 'Proshield'. These fit all Fusion range handles. Asda have a 4-pack of blades on offer at the moment for £6.00.
Presume this is nationwide?

popped into my local today and found a cardboard promotional display opposite where the blades shelf is - handles & blade packs on there. Display wasn't there yesterday & still none on shelves even today.

nonamed china imports are £5 on ebay. Ive never used double edged blades since i was a teenager as they cut my face to ribbons. Never had a nick with Gillette so happy to pay £6 for four as they last me about 2 months per cartridge.

Can't blame a razor for what is the fault of the user . I used to use the 5 blade monstrosities and yes only ever got a nick when the blade was getting a bit old and dull, but would always get shaving rash. No such thing now with a safety razor, and nicks are rare, unless the blade is dull.
Because they don't have the marketing budget of Gillette/Wilkinsons, and because they are not stocked in most major supermarkets? The multi-blade nonsense have a much higher profit margin for manufacturers, so of course they made them more readily available.
I can count on one hand the number of times that I have cut myself over the last year of shaving too. Sure initially after coming from one one of your Gillette mach 3's or similar I was applying pressure and didn't get the angle right so I was cutting myself, but that was for only a couple of shaves until getting the hang of it, at which point I was appreciating the closer and cheaper shaves, and the added bonus of being able to bundle up and recycle those blades vs throwing a wedge of plastic into landfill every month or two

Search Amazon or Ebay, and just about all DE blades are going for £5-£10 for 100 blades

They died out because people are lazy and in a rush! Had you taken time to learn the art properly you would have had no issues, But it is not exactly rocket science! It is still a safety razor. I have gone from using gillette to a DE razor and in the 18 months I have been using them I have cut myself twice when first starting.
I have always suffered with spots/acne.....well that went in a week! These 5 blade razors destroy your face and I had to shave every day. I spend 10 minutes with my DE and it's baby smooth and lasts 2 days. Also decent blades are 10p each and last at least 3 shaves. I also assure you that you are not getting even near to a close shave with the gillette.
I only use my gillette when I am in need of a quick tidy up, And it is a horrible shave compared to the DE.

What's crazy is that people dispose of the blades long before they are beyond use. Just Google it and enjoy using each blade from between a few months or even longer in future.

One years worth of shaving for 24 quid is not a bargain. You can get a decent double edge razor for £25 + a pack of 100 blades for £5. At least 4 years worth of shaving for 30 is a bargain, and you get a better shave.
Granted, compared to the usual price this is indeed a bargain, but it is overpriced and even when reduced it is still way above the actual value of the item itself

ASDA also have the chill blades, Whatever these magic ones now do, I don't know..
Apparently the Proshield is already old hat in the US and has been usurped by the Proshield Chill. I can't type fast enough to keep up with all the new stuff that Gillette are bringing out
Apparently these Proshield blades fit the Proglide handle according to the Amazon link below:
Great deal, though no ASDA near me and minimum spend is £25 which is a LOT of blades when I don't need anything else!
