sorry you had a wasted journey.. I wasn't sure if this was at all stores at this price hence mentioning in the main post that I am unsure if store specific or national.

I got the proglide blades and razor with 5 cartridges for £5 each in Waitrose back in 2013. Still have a few packs from the 8 I bought. The jeans trick works well to clean the blades and make each one last a few months.

Had these in my local too so I'm thinking it's a national clearing out stocks. This is the non power handle but I think the 'manual' blades last the longest - I could squeeze a months worth out of these - tried the new proshield they blunt after 10 days or so.

I bought this from Tesco for £1.10 and bought 10 boxes of the refill for £2.10 each! the pro glide styler was reduced to £1:50 and I bought 7

It's alright buying a discounted razor. But need to factor in blade costs which like replacement ink cartridges are extortionate, into your purchasing decision. You'll then probably find its cheaper in the long run to buy an Electric Shaver , philips website got great one which reduced from £300 to £60 or go down DE shaving route . After initial investment of £40 razor & badger brush Blades are pence.

I always buy them on offer and would sooner have a wet shave over an electric razor any day
