Great deal advertised but.....Offer didnt work today- asked if it was ok to pay with points, ordered ice creams but then till wouldn't accept nectar card by swiping (either mine or my husbands!) and no way of typing in card number apparently. So I ended up losing out on 1000 bonus points (so did my husband!) and then had to pay full price for the ice creams instead of redeeming points towards it!
The lady said loads of people had been in today and tried to redeem points but had been unsuccessful!
Annoyingly, this deal is still advertised on nectar website and app despite being apparently unavailable when you get to vue! Lots of people on Twitter had this problem- one was 3 days ago! Why wasn't this addressed by nectar??

Does this offer work with any film? As I am looking to go watch Deadpool on Tuesday using Meerkat 2 for 1 at Vue. One ticket is going to be free due to the Meerkat code whilst the other ticket I will be paying for. For the ticket I am paying for can I redeem 500 nectar points to partially lower the amount I pay for the ticket? Also does it make me eligible to then get the 1000 nectar points back?

I don't think that's how it works. As I understand it, you're loading the offer to your card, you're not committing to spend 500 points at Vue.

Anyone know if you can use Nectar points when buying a Meerkat movies 2 for 1 ticket? The terms and conditions imply not, but I was wondering if anyone had tried it.

What you can do is get the 2 for 1 tickets separately as normal and then merely use the nectar points for your refreshments (e.g. popcorn, drinks, ice cream or nachos etc).

You can. I used to work at Vue, the Nectar points are just redeemed as a payment method in the last step. This is completely independent of putting in the tickets and food.
