I believe the season pass is also included which will grant access to episodes 2-6 as well. However, base description seems to be very outdated and coming back to pre-release of the game as the image they used for the game also has a note on the top left saying "not the final art". Would be great if anyone could confirm?

Amazon is selling the same but a few quid more and their image shows it includes the season pass. I would imagine the price is not that far off as Base is normally cheaper than anywhere else and it is probably the same thing they are selling. I wouldn't be surprised that the game they send out has the season pass as I believe that is the only physical form of this game which is available.

That is where I say the uncertainty comes from. Read what I think and conclude what you think is the most probable outcome:
- Base is using an unofficial cover image with no description on their listing.
- Base is generally cheaper than amazon for almost everything (if don't say certainly).
- The only physical form of this game that I know comes with the first season on the disk and a season pass for the rest of the game when it is out, just like any other recent telltale game.
So I may conclude that this could well be the same item as amazon is selling. I just need someone who have bought it to confirm.

This won't grant you access to *seasons* 2-6, that would be crazy!
I don't have the game but from all I've read online this is a disc with episodes 1-5 of season 1 on it and it grants you access to episode 6 as a download. Presumably that's what they mean by 'season pass' (I assume you download the sixth episode from a menu in-game).
Pretty ridiculous way of going about it if you ask me, but hey ho.

I think there is confusion between episodes and seasons here...
The season pass disc grants you access to all episodes 1-6 of season one. You will not get access to Season 2 when/if it releases via this disc.
I have the ps4 version and episodes 1-5 are on the disc and you are able to download episode 6 via the games onscreen options (no separate dlc code in game case which means it is all good for the 2nd hand market). I think I had read on another site that the Xbox version was different (not 100% sure) and the disc only contains episode one and you download the rest (not sure if by dlc code or on disc as in the ps4 version). I don't own an Xbox so no idea and I am not sure why the releases would be managed differently for each platform.

Right, that is a goof. I wrote "season" instead of "episodes" everywhere... What I meant by all this was the downloadable episodes.
