Seems like a great deal to me, for what you get? Includes standard 5yr warranty/guarantee.
Nice looking telly with nice specs...

these were a good buy a few months ago when they were a good saving over the LG branded (same tv)
however now the real ones ( lg 49uf770v) have dropped in price and are cheaper than the JL (plus ypu can get the 5 year warranty from other suppliers which was another selling point of the JL model)
logic says... buy the real lg. unless JL reduce this down significantly less than the 770v
I'm going to buy the LG 49UF850V instead when it's sub 550 again
hope the above helps

Been a few good 4K deals past 2 days.. This better or equal to the currys LG850V model that was on here yesterday? This looks like a LG model

It looks like WebOS, which is the system used on LG TV's.......and looks a lot like the LG 49UF770V to me.

..on some available LG TVs, you can still buy LG TVs with the older smart features that aren't Web OS based.

if you look at the reviews you will see it gets slated for been a poor TV for the money. I instead went for the new Samsung 48ju6400. from John Lewis

4.9/5 from 8 reviews on JL website. So not slated at all on there?

Thanks, I don't need 3D, I got a old Sammy with 3D and never really used it... more concerned with pic quality ... I am not up to scratch with TVs spec wise, so I go with people's views on here..

Even LG 49UF770V with 5 years warranty is cheaper than this... poor deal

Yes, I have a basic Samsung plasma and my mate was bragging about all the features on his new lcd...... Then I pointed out those features are to fix problems that plasma just doesn't have in the first place - rubbish black levels and refresh rates. He came over to my place and was amazed at how good my plasma looks, but unfortunately it needs replacing now and the oled TVs just aren't adorable enough yet..... And curved screens is a fad that should disappear up the same hole as msx and Betamax - tv's for single people just doesn't make sense!

You're probably the last guy on earth who still cares about 3D...
looking forward to 3D going to that same FAD place mentioned earlier... you know... with curved, MSX, and Betamax and maybe we can all finally re-focus on features that actually matter... just sayin'
long live OLED!!!

Webos is great, you can switch between iplayer, Netflix, movies from usb, etc without having to restart the app whenever you switch back to it. You can just resume from wherever you left off

I bought the LG 49UF770V a month or so ago and I absolutely love it. The magic remote is awesome. Great smart features and the WebOS interface is the best I've seen on a TV. I got my LG branded one (wouldn't be so keen on a TV with 'John Lewis' written on the front) for from Hughes Electrical. They're currently doing it for £559 delivered (ends tomorrow) with 5 year guarantee.

The tragedy is that unless people stop falling for what marketing says is important over what is actually any good in practice OLED won't take off. Plasma is dead for these very reasons, despite the fact the best plasmas from 5 years ago STILL look better than the very latest top of the line LED HDTVs. They just do.
1080p OLED is the same. It utterly destroys any 4k LED set for overall image quality but everybody wants to buy 4k no matter how rubbish the actual panel is. Let us hope that OLED takes off within a couple years and like anything else, the prices will drop. Then in 5 years we can say LED LCD is as good as dead and for once it'll be for the best.

You obviously haven't watched anything in 3D then. Try watching some 3D films and 3D nature programmes they are stunning and makes life look real. Real life is not in 2D!!!!
