Just thought I would put it out there, as alternative to the CPW deal for those eligible. You will need your old Sky Id, Sky box and Dish etc, they will just reconnect you.

FYI - I left Sky over 6 months ago, but got offers in first month offering 50 or 60 % discount to go back. This deal should be £77 so please don't vote cold without a cheaper alternative.

If you want full sky package and have existing box, I think this is cheapest way of getting it? go to sky.com/offer25 and enter your sky id

FAMILY DEAL HD available for £12 a month also

Suitable for those not interested in hooky boxes or questionable streaming (not getting into legal or technical arguments).

£300 + £145.50 for TV licence = £445.50 for 12 months.

or watch BBC iPlayer + all the other catchup + Netflix for £50.04 for 12 months*. I know which I prefer.

(*subscribe to HD Netflix package using Mexico address for 109 pesos /mo = £4.17 /mo).

That's excellent if you got that. When I tried they said it wasn't available. What was your situation - have you been with Sky long?

You don't have to be out of your notice pediod. I cancelled on Friday and went onto their live chat the following day but was only offered the standard 50% off with a discretionary £50 credit. I declined and tried live chat again yesterday, this time beginning the chat with, "I understand there is an offer to reactivate my Sky"....agent asks what the offer is, I quote OFFER25 and explain that means 25 sheets per month for everything and HD (like they're not aware of their own deals lol!) and I also include the £100 credit. Agent then ckecks and then.....bingo! I'm told I'm eligible for that deal....simples!

Worth noting that Sky have announced big price rises in June so the base price for most of our discounts will be going up:

Thanks edwood. Will wait to see what Virgin come back with, hopefully this week, but if no joy will give Sky a ring back and see if they can improve on the £10 pm fibre plus £17.40 line rental

21 Mar 16 #325
We already had fibre. And we did do this in 2 conversations.... one over the phone where we moved to Sky+ only about 3 weeks ago and they discounted the fibre to £10 per month but with £10 per month off line rental (£17.40 pm total for all the broadband - we hardly use phone so went to payg for calls) and then today when we got the 50% tv discount and £100 credit over the chat at http://sky.com/offer25. The offer25 link said we were ineligible but still had a chat link and that seemed like a good place to try to get discounts from. To be honest it was all very painless! Seems people are having some fairly different experiences....

Did you already have broadband or fibre with Sky? or was this a new service? Only reason I'm asking I've cancelled fibre, ends on 31st March, and best they offered me was £10 pm for 12 months plus line rental, so waiting on Virgin getting back to me to confirm they can do fibre for £4.99 pm for 12 months plus line rental and £50 cashback.

Just got 50% off Family and £100 credit over live chat via the offer25 link. We actually hadn't fully left, said we were going to and downgraded to just the Sky+ subscription but we did leave that hanging for a couple of weeks. Also got free Fibre Unlimited so just paying line rental for the Fibre broadband as part of that first downgrade. Very happy! We've moved from Original and saved nearly £40 a month whilst upgrading to a better service! Advisor went from an offer of 35% off to 50% and £100 credit with very little effort over the space of ten mins.... Essentially I just waited, said friends had got better deals and she went to that in three replies.

same sky two step here , they rang two or three times , no real offer , live chat last night half price family pack and £100 credit , makes £9.66 a month , considering i was paying £30 for variety pack before was happy . Just a shame you have to go through this rigmarole every year , would have paid £15 and not even blinked if it was just standard price .

Thanks both for your replies. I spoke to someone on the live chat this morning, first thing he asked was if I had equipment to which I said no..he passed me over to another advisor and the best I got offered was 50% off family pack, free fibre, normal line rental. Being the same as the offer via code, I passed on this.

If I can get £25pm TV with free fibre and £100 credit that'll be a result

From my reading of this thread. Most people have been getting reconnected so no new kit reported. A few people seem to have got new kit. Most people who have achieved the 60% off/£100 credit have committed to a new 12 month contract. 50% off/£100 credit reports are more mixed with more coming back to say no new contract than the 60%/£100 credit deal.

It does seem to depend on what you have had in the past ... but then equally random what can be achieved.

Did anyone in this thread have a new dish fitted and box provided, as a new customer, or is it strictly re connections with existing equipment? Also has anyone taken fibre+phone line alongside these offers? If so what deals?

As a new customer (currently with BT) the best I can find so far is 50% off tv pack (so family is £18pm for example), £17.40 line rental, free fibre. Total £35.40pm

My parents have also received similar offers in the past. They've had 3 months free and a year later they got 6 months free immediately followed by another 3 months free.

On all three occasions they actually called to cancel and asked for the 50% offer they were on to be carried over for another 12 months. Ironically Sky wouldn't do that but instead gave them 3 months free. Then gave them 12 months 50% with no contract. Then when that expired gave them 6 months free and followed that with 3 months free. And then they got 50% for 12 months again.

Our contract/cancelations were at a similar time and they didn't give us the free period but instead gave us 50% off :/

I don't think you can take anything they say at face value. There are lots of offers flying around that they will deny or pretend have expired. We've never got more then 50% off either. But I think the fact we've previously accepted 50% off several times makes it harder for us to now get anything better. Just as someone thats been paying full price for years will generally find it harder to get anything out of them. Whereas someone thats got to the 75% offer level will probably find it easier to keep getting that.

Essentially once they know what you're prepared to pay it becomes harder and harder to pay less. But its not impossible.
ScorpionKingv3nom
12 Mar 16 #310
You could get them to offer you the 50% offer with the £100 credit. And tell them to note your account with the offer.
Then start looking for the £25 deal. Once you have the £25 deal, go through your account to the billing team, tell them you have rejoined Sky and were offered £100 credit as part of the deal that has been applied. Notes will be on there and the advisor should credit the amount.
Rather simple.

I've tried a couple of times and the best offer still is 50% + £100 credit.

I just went on chat to get £25 full package for 12 months for my father in law. Bit of negotiation, ending up with 60% off + £100 bill credit. So:

I pay 40% of £75.75 which is £30.30, *12 = £363.60 for the year, less £100 bill credit = £263.60 for the year = £21.97 per month.

Haha, I got the same 20% off for 10 months letter yesterday, then checked my emails and got one with 35% off everything for 12 months. Not going to take them up on any of their offers either way, TV is set to be cancelled on 7th April, so unless they ring back with a cracking offer I'll just have to make do with Freeview HD and catchup TV

I managed to get full package, sports, movies in HD for £22/month plus £100 credit almost 2 weeks ago.
I received a letter from Sky today advising me that I can get 20% of my current TV package for 10 months (12 month contract), but would still have to pay full price for HD. It also mentioned that this 20% offer would replace any current offer I have.
Stick with £22/month rolling contract for the next 11 1/2 months or take them up on this new offer which will be about £55+/month??
Why do they even bother with this sort of junk mail?

I think that their CS agents make stuff up sometimes or are given different scripts - reports earlier in this thread were from people either in cancellation period or indeed some that were not even there yet but still the offer worked. That said, it may be the offer has changed (the letter on page one shows that the code/offer25 should work until 24th March, for receivers of the letter at least). I was also told that the £100 credit offer (with £12 Family HD/£25 Complete Package) was only available the previous weekend - despite many reports on here of people succesfully getting it up to Thursday morning. Now either people on here delayed posting their results or the CS was misinformed (didn't alter the fact they still said it wasn't possible when I tried :disappointed:)..

Rang up again as trying to compare what they will offer (in cancellation period) compared to VM who we are contracted to until September. Best we could get is 50% off and £25 credit, apparently the £100 credit has expired, and the offer of £25/month and the offer of 60% off with credit are as well. Just annoyed how they can give 25/month deals to people and not someone who has been with them for 15+ years.

Don't be disheartened, it probably has nothing to do with how long you have been with them and more to do with their quota system for deals/changing deals frequently including during the day.

7 Mar 16 #287
It may be account specific but not based on spend or how long you have been with them. I haven't been with them for two years and had offer25 available to me (no £100 credit as missed that) and also 60% off/£100 credit which I accepted. Offers in each call centre (chat!) seem to change constantly as each agent referred to the number of codes available was running out (no doubt trying to prompt the sale, but from reading round it does appear each agent and each centre may have different offers visible to them.

According to post 221 quoted below Dancehouse was within his notice period yet they gave him the offer. These things tend to be fluid. Your account history, the agents own performance (in relation to their targets for retention/grabbing new customers) and the overall promotions performance will all impact whats offered.

If the promotion or agent has already done really well, they may not offer the deal. Or if your account history suggests you'll accept a lower offer they may not give you the 25 offer. Your only option is either accept, but I imagine that will set your discount level for the future. Or follow through and leave, in which case I imagine you will be eligible for better offers not only the next time you join but also going forward after that. Good luck!

Was in contract on Original + Sports until the summer, but after submitting cancellation request went back to the sky.com/offer25 page and started the Live Chat there.

Quick summary of long conversation: wouldn't do the £25 all in deal (said I needed to have received it by mail), but immediately offered £100 credit and 50% off for 12 months. Provided I didn't change to the Family package, there would be no minimum contract.

I was paying about £30/month for Original + Sports (no HD), but as a result it's down to about £23/month, plus £100 credit. It may not be as good as some others have managed, but considering what I was locked into before I'm happy. Could even up sticks as soon as the £100 credit runs out! Thanks for everyone sharing their experiences (especially the tip to cancel even if within minimum term).

I have been told not to contact this team again as I left over 12 months ago (apparently I should really be contacting sales). I have been told a few times over the past few days that this deal is no longer available with £100 credit and hasn't been all week (strange given lots of people have reported getting it :disappointed:).

The best deal I got offered was 60% off and £100 credit, 12 month contract. Each agent can see how many times you have contacted them (and no doubt the transcripts) as it was mentioned durig the conversation that they could see I had contacted them before.

A shame as I would have accepted the £12 per month/£100 credit offer - and was almost there with the 60% off/£100 credit :disappointed: (unless this is part of their negotiating tactics to push back?).

The full price I will be paying is £38.02. That's for Variety TV (so no sports or movies), unlimited broadband, pay as you go phone (we don't use a landline) and multiscreen in one room on a HD+ box. The deal is actually for £32.40 as we already had half price multiscreen until December. I was also offered half price movies which I declined so I'm sure they'd do half price sports as well.

So what is the full price you pay and what are you getting? Just wondering as our cancel period ends April 1st, and about to ring up other providers to see what they offer for full package.

The people not getting this .. Are you def in cancellation period ? I.e actually cancelled in the last 30 days , and are you definitely going through the sky.com/offer25 link , logging into your account , clicking for a live chat guy on that page , not general live chat , and asking for the 25 quid deal ? I spent a whole hour on the "wrong" live chat and the guy insisted he couldn't offer me the £25 . As soon as I went on the "correct" live chat I was offered 60% discount , then I raised the offer25 deal and was offered it straight away .. Like most on here. Seems odd that some are getting knocked back.

Well I finally got through to chat.

They will not give me £100 credit with the £25 deal but will give me 60% off full price = £30.30 plus £100 credit.

So either £25 or £21.96 after the credit, not as good as the £16.66 some people are getting :disappointed:

Edit: I haven't been a customer for over 6 months btw.

Finally got the £12 Family HD pack with £100 credit on third attempt. This time I was told there was no such offer - I could only have 50% or £50 credit. I then said that I would continue with the cancellation. The reply came back that they would speak to the supervisor and came back and said that yes I could have the Family HD pack for £12 plus £100 credit.

We left in October and the deals they've been offering us (without prompting) have been getting better and better every few weeks.

Hello everyone who got the deal - just a question I'd like to ask.
What confirmation did you get on the offer?
I did not have the option of saving/emailing the chat session.
I have also not received an email like every other year when I've renegotiated a new deal.
The good news is that everything looks correct on my account online, but I can only see a couple of months into the future. The discount is correct, but it doesn't state when it expires.
It's very likely that everything is correct, but I like to have all the details in black and white. I'm currently in dispute over Sky line rental discount and they're having to check back on recorded phone calls from last year as I didn't recieve written confirmation of discount which disappeard after 3 months.

Hi Anon,
I did try again later and got it for £22 and £100 credit.
I wouldn't have got early termination charge as the Scottish lass I spoke to arranged it so that my cancellation was "pending" until 31 days before my current contract expires. I think I found a bit of a loophole as this pending cancellation allowed my to use the link from this page, which allowed me to chat with Sky Reinstate rather than Sky Retentions.

Just been onto chat after giving notice to cancel this morning (contract was up in June). quoted sky25 and was immediately offered the Full package for £25 - I then mentioned the £100 credit and was offered £50 credit which he insisted was the best he could do - Im happy enough with that. Also have multiroorm so it will be £36.70 month with that added which is still ok for me.

Sorry for long post, but thought people might want to see what to expect when contacting Sky re this offer.
My experience today.
Phoned to cancel. My contract ends in mid May, so Sky only offered me 10% discount for 9 months!! She said OFFER25 was for customer who'd left Sky over 12 months ago. I told her "no" and read the line from the website stating customers who had left in the last 12 months. I obviously declined the 10% offer and asked when the earliest I could cancel. She said she can put the request in and it will be pending until 31 days before 18th May.
I returned to the link on Hotukdeals (sky.com/offer25) and although no actual offer appears, the chat with advisor button for exclusive offer button now shows (she must have put the cancellation request in). I clicked on the chat and the following is the main points from the online chat-
Me - "Hi, I have given my notice to cancel Sky, but would like to accept the OFFER25 deal with £100 credit for Full HD package for 12 months @£25"
Sky - "This offer is exclusively for those customer who has received the email from Sky for this offer."
(Quite a few more messages between us before he came up with the following offer)
Sky - "I will give you 50% off on TV package for 12 months; So here is your package summary Family + Sports + Movies @ £35.25 pm [50% Off] HD Pack @ £5.25 pm So your total monthly cost will be £40.5 pm for 12 months"
Sky - "So you save £423 Annually !!!"
Me - "I know that customers are been offered the full package for £25 per month and receiving a £100 credit. If being a customer for over 10 years and most likely spending in the region of £10,000 over these years doesn't entitle me to offers that other customers get then I'd rather not be a Sky customer. Thank you for looking in to this deal but I'll stick with my cancellation and see if I receive the £25 offer."
Sky - "Okay. I respect your decision. It was Wonderful chatting with you!! Thank you & have a lovely day ahead of you."

So a ridiculous offer on phone and then a good offer on chat. But even the chat offer is a lot more than the posted deal. I don't know if the fact I'm not even 31 days away from end of my current contract is making it harder to get the £25 deal. I don't think I could have done anything different to get the deal. I suppose I could try again from 17th April (31 days before end of contract), but that takes it past 24 March which is quoted as the end date on the OP's letter (I guess this might not be the end date for everyone though)

At £40.40 p/m (£10 per week) I think I am getting good value, maybe not as cheap as some people are paying, but I get £10 of use per week out of Sky.

If your contract ends mid May then I would think that is the reason - you are not really in the best position to negotiate. Give notice now and if the cancellation dies go through in 30 days you will face an early termination fee of the remaining amount of the contract? They will know that.

i tried myself. for my existing account for which i put cancellation a few days ago, the OFFER25 deal is not available (unless i actually have an email from sky saying otherwise). however i had an old sky account lying around. logged in and there it was the £25 per month offer. also for my current account they offered me line rental off for 12 months and £5 per month broadband. which makes £30 for everything for 12 months. which i think is nice. just raising this for people who may be in this unique but similar situation.

Thanks for this. I was on the £36.25 multiroom deal for the past two years, due to expire in April and become £87! Tried to haggle them down on Friday and was offered £63 so went ahead and cancelled (30 day notice period). Just went on webchat again and mentioned the OFFER25, yep no problem £25 per month for the full HD package plus £11.25 for multiroom, so back where I wanted to be. Asked about the £100 credit and was told this was discretionary not part of the deal but was offered £50 credit. I'm happy with that. BTW this deal is not available to the team in "Retentions" apparently, hence the guy I spoke to on Friday couldn't do a decent deal. You need to have cancelled to get access to this deal. Very happy.

For the last 3 years or so it's been that easy had 2 years of 75% last year managed to get a 2Tb box as well, for the 10 years before that it was more difficult you needed to play the game tell them you couldn't afford it, my wife had been on maternity leave for those 10 years. In that time the discounts weren't as long as 12 months some 3 mainly 6 months and discounts ranged from 20 to 50% think in the last 13 years probably paid full price for about 4 months.

Put it in your calendar or phone when your offer expires and just go through it all again.

Remember other companies will offer discounts, Virgin will do it for sure, never had any luck when we were with BT but other have more recently, there is a article on MSE on which companies will offer. It's certainly worth it

My 31 Day notice expired today so I lost all Sky Plus facilities. Called 0800 number to accept 50% off deal I had received in post two weeks ago (I was holding off for a better offer) and was told that it had expired and the best they could offer was 10% off. I declined and was then put through to someone else who offered me Full package (Sports and Movies + HD) for £25/Month plus £25 credit but wouldn't budge on £11.25/Month for multiroom so I decided to go without multi room. I then discovered that they had cancelled the multiroom on the wrong box so I called back to get them to change the boxes and they offered Multiroom for £2.50/Month ??? I have no idea why they didn't just offer the complete deal at £27.50 + £25 credit in the first place ??

I mean, you could always give it a go and see what they offer. It seems like some have said that they will leave at the end of the contract if that's the case when offered very little and then offered a good deal. Just, from their perspective they may not offer you anything because they have no reason to since you're in contract.

27 Feb 16 1 #91
So until this morning I was on the Original package which is the most basic package (I rang last year and negotiated a £12.50 a month discount for 9 months and the final 3 months at standard price of £21.50 per month) which came to an end in the last week or so. I tried to do online chat but that was a total waste of time the first time round. I called and asked for the HUKD deal, told no can do so cancelled. 30 seconds later I went to sky.com/offer25, logged in and asked what offers they have for me, I was offered 50% of the all channels/sports/movies/HD package and a £50 credit. I literally said I want to pay £25 per month max and want a £100 credit and pasted the HUKD deals link in the webchat. It was immediately honored and now I have all the channels in HD for £25 a month with a £100 credit (the equivalent of £16.66 a month for the full 12 months). Which is therefore a fiver less per month han I was paying for the last 2 months for the most basic package. Super happy. Thanks op!

I spoke to them on live chat and they offered me 50% off family package movies and sports, free unlimited broadband with HD pack for £57 Inc line rental. This is with a bill credit and a rolling contract. I had no luck pushing to 60% and they wouldn't do multiroom half price either. I was about to accept the offer when I decided to clarify the rolling contract part. Apparently the rolling contract would only apply to the TV and not the Broadband. You certainly don't need a TV licence to broadcast live television. :smirk: (different kind of licence required)

However if you meant to say you need a licence to possess equipment capable of receiving live TV, then you are completely and utterly wrong.

Not that I am the first to point that out.

Just thinking with this kind of deal its not really hurting sky as its a flick of a switch for them and extra income. It stops people signing up as new customers every year where they provide a new 'free' box so its cheaper from their angle as the equipment is already installed and customers don't have to play a load of games to get a good deal.

What are you all saying on chat to get £100 credit??
evostick47
26 Feb 16 #57
Total Rubbish.

"You do not need a TV licence if you only watch content after it's been shown on television. This includes TV programmes downloaded or streamed after broadcast using a catch-up service.

Be warned, this could all change over the next few years, with new legislation set to be introduced that would mean you'd need a licence to watch catch-up TV regardless of when it was broadcast. But at the moment, the rules are: if you have a TV but only use it to watch DVDs, for gaming or for watching catch-up TV (eg, BBC iPlayer, 4oD), you don't need a licence." MSE December 2015

I was paying about £55 for a fairly basic package - ended up ringing to cancel. They tried to get me back a couple of times (before my 30 days was up) but I told them to stick it. In the end, they rang to do a "survey", after half an hour they had given me broadband, phone, line rental, entertainment pack plus box sets plus HD box, all for the cost of the line rental, so about £17 per month. That was on an eleven month contract which is due to expire in April. Last year I took out a deal as a new subscriber. Family pack with HD and multiroom for £27.00 a month (everything apart from movies/sport).

Me deal ended and went up to £47.00. I paid this for one month, as a friend recommended me to do, and then called them. After about 25mins on hold ! I spoke to a nice scottish lady and simply said I need to reduce the cost, she asked if there was anything I wanted to cancel (multiroom etc), I said no I just can't justify paying £47.00 as I have netflix, NowTV and a tv with freeview.

She immediately knocked the price back down to £27.00 without me threatening to cancel etc.
So for a half hour phone call (25mins on hold, 5mins talking) I've saved £240 a year.

So not a 'deal' as such, but I'd recommend anyone to ring them after they've been a customer for over 12months. Just do it on a speaker phone so you can put it down and carry on with what you're doing for the huuge hold times.

From other comments whilst talking to people if you get through to an offshore call centre then you seem less likely to get deals, listen for a nice scottish voice ! If at first it doesn't work call them back.

Martln Lewis lists sky as the most likely company to offer you a deal

I only cancelled a few days ago after having no luck on the phone to get a discount. I used the Chat and spoke to Simmi and got the family HD for £12 a month.

Chuffed with this deal

Thanks OP. Was going to go car phone warehouse in the next couple of days to take up the £30pm offer but this one is even better.

I guess it's horses for courses but I don't know of many people who would want to move over to solely on-demand viewing. Choice is much more limited, you have to put up with streaming issues and you'd be out of luck if, like me, you watch the news every night or some of the more obscure channels. Still, well done on the money saving.

thanks for this....went thru the process and got the live chat fella. ended up with full HD package, sports and movies, one multiroom, phoneline and broadband, for 49 quid, as well as 100 bill credit. 6 quid less than I was paying yesterday when I cancelled (with the added bonus of no bills for two months with the 100 credit) and about 55 a month less than the "normal" bill for what I get.

Legally you only need a TV licence to watch live broadcast TV. You do not currently need a TV licence to watch any of the catch up services like I player. I have a TV licence but very rarely watch live TV. I just can't be bothered with the arguments when the licencing people come knocking. If you can be bothered to tell them where to go and you genuinely never watch live TV go for it.

No TV licence needed for the above. No watching TV as it's shown, correct (watch when you want instead).

I got the same today too. Wonder if it matters that we have broadband and line rental in the wife's name.
