Looks a good deal to me (would have been hotter if it was not on Vodafone).

S6, as it's cheaper on contract, has a better camera, despite the mp count, and Sony are notoriously bad at updating software.
This coming from someone who is still using an Xperia T

Sony have been pretty solid with updates from my experience as a Z2 and a Z3 owner.
The Z series has been almost flawless since the Z3 in my opinion. It's been over a year since I've had it and it's running just as smooth as it was on day one with the marshmallow update guaranteed too. If I'm not mistaken, the Z2 is getting marshmallow too.
My brother's S5 was bogged down by it's own software updates and was grinding to a halt after a year. Yes, it's fixable by doing a system wipe, however that shouldn't be happening in the first instance. I wonder if the S6 is any different!

Not a bad deal (assume it's a 24 month contract), but there's been a few better recently if you take cash back from the reseller into account, this 12 month one for example;
You can actually get that deal slightly cheaper and more stuff thrown in. If you go to the Free Gifts section at the bottom of the main page you can find same deal but only £44 a month after the cash back, plus they also throw in a choice of a £50 iTunes voucher, £50 Amazon voucher, £50 Marks and Spencers voucher or a Kindle 6" E Ink Display (worth about £60). You also get the same free Sony Bluetooth Speaker as per most of the other deals on the Z5 at the moment (not sure if it's included in the original offer above)
Obviously TCB or Quidco of £31.50 / £30 respectively too.
Also worth mentioning for those with a Santander Bank account or card, I had an offer on my online banking page (under the retailer offers bit) which gives you another £40 cash back when you take out a Vodafone contract of more than £17 a month. Expires on 18th March but you must have had two direct debits taken by then.

To be fair, I'm on an older Sony (Xperia T) that conked out at Android 4.3, and my wife has a Z1 Compact, which is proving to be very sluggish only 18 months from purchase.
Perhaps they've markedly improved since then.

Most of us can't afford a £64 pcm contract.

Vodafone..... Nowadays.
Possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with, you would be crazy to take this over 2 yrs, bad signal, bad c/s never ever again. 2 yrs of hell. Good riddance, and was customer for over 20 yrs. good luck.
Great phone tho... Got one myself.

Had a SONY Compact 3 now for almost 2 years. Regular Software updates getting pushed to my device, and the phone itself is fantastic.
I would go for this deal if i did not have the phone i have, not worth the upgrade yet.. Maybe the next mopdel, as can then see some changes for my money..

Wont touch another Sony device... poor build quality combined with shocking warranty policies. Great phone until it breaks!

been using z3 for just under a year and the phone battery is amazing, get easily day and half with one charge and over night the phone only uses 3% whilst on flight mode.
