For their "free" offers they program their system to pay out a price that is unique to each retailer. In this case it seems to be set up to pay out £1.35 in S, £1.58 in A, £1.50 in T regardless of what you pay.

But some individual stores within a retailer chain might charge more/less for some/all the products. It means their standard payout can be too little/too much (if they pay too little just drop them an email to explain)

In my case I paid 80p per jar in Asda and COS paid out £1.58 per jar. The folks that paid 20p in Sainsbury will probably find COS pay them out £1.35

I find that the "free" offers on COS don't necessarily pay out what you pay. They are set up to pay out £x sainsburys, £y for Asda, £z for Tesco, etc. If they think they cost £1.35 in Sainsburys then that is probably what they'll pay out regardless of the fact you paid 20p

Had the same issue - I resolved it by uninstalling/reinstalling the app.

They're not going to mention someone else's app in their t&c, other deals have worked across both so long as separate receipts.

True for COS but depending on what clicksnap are offering can be worth buying the cheapest to make a profit.
