Heard a lot of good things about these headphones...and they seem to be at a very good price courtesy of the GearBest flash sale

Great deal , but wouldn't recommend because i got my in August 2015 , and then broke after 6 months. the sound just went really quite and was unpleasant to listen to.

Great headphones. The updated dual-driver model is even better at a couple of £ more...
Thanks for that, I went for those instead

Thank you popoyaya and OP for pointing out these earphones, ordered a pair of these on pop's recommendation and got them through banggood at £13 ish and they are awesome - even got my teenage daughter to ditch her iphone earphones and that's saying something - love xiaomi and banggood

Excellent headphones, beat the pants off a lot of higher priced earbuds I've tried.
Then can't you buy them, tell eBay and then keep both product and money? (happened to me before unintentionally)

Fake fake fake - cheap Chinese copy

What's the point?! The headphones will be rubbish anyway....so you aren't really gaining anything.
Just buy the Piston's 3's for a few quid extra...or get the cheap Piston 1's for £2.50 or so from Gearbest.

These or KZ ate? I'm confused. Are these better than beats on ear? (Don't bash me I'm just using as reference)

Here's a reason not to do that...
If you raise a case with Ebay/Paypal, then that'll almost certainly result in human intervention. That intervention costs money. We pay for that intervention via Paypal fees...
SO, if you don't like Paypal charges going up and up, don't add to the Paypal dispute caseload

I had a set of the Piston 3 Youth edition which were very good indeed but I lost them a couple of weeks back. sound was very good for the price.

There is no way I would ever buy headphones online from eBay or any sellers in China like Gearbest (even if it's from the EU warehouse). They are almost guaranteed to be fake. I've got burned in the past with Sony headphones which were all the rage to fake back in the day and won't get done again. You won't believe how real they can make them look.

There are ways to check with Xioami I beleieve. And if you trust the retailer youre fine.
Just because the companies Chinese doesnt mean evverythings fake.

As the original Xiaomi IEMs are retailing for just $16 dollars in China there is little point in them selling fakes. Now if these were selling for like $160 dollars retail and being offered for $16 then you should be able to work out that they may be fakes.

sorry I don't mean to sound like a **** but does this come with a mic built in with a mute button?
Went for the dual drivers instead for a couple of quid more. Thanks OP for this deal. As I only check HOT deals I missed the "chillier" other deal.
I should get them in time for my retirement.... in 25 years time.

These are a fantastic bit of kit. I bought mine from Amazon a few months back for 13 quid, so this is a decent deal.

So are the piston 3s being sold on GearBest fake?

No - the £2.50 ones on Ebay are the fakes.

I ordered a pair of these and a pair of the other slightly higher priced hybrid IEMs from Gearbest. At this price point you cannot get much decent off the shelf in the UK. As to whether you should buy from the EU or CHINA or HK warehouse depends on what you are buying and whether it is likely to be subject to customs duties. At this price there is no duty to pay so as they were cheaper in the CHINA warehouse I bought from there.

These are good value for money. only downside for me was they are equal length wires from the connection rather than the asymmetrical behind the neck style of sennheisers but the sound quality is just as good a my previous CX300 IIs for a fraction of the price.

couldn't resist... not for that price.

These are amazing earphones for the price. Got to wait a while for delivery but well worth it. The next model up (dual driver ones) are £11.18 on special offer at the moment so I advise you spend the difference on them.
David23 to marky489
24 Feb 16#42
Are you talking about these? Currently £12.72, was there only a short special offer or something?
I had no idea they were so cheap at retail. Yes that does discourage fakers but I have seen in the past £15-£20 Sony headphones faked. In 3rd world countries even what we would call cheap would be expensive and that's how they end up 'out there'.

Yeah agree. I got a set of both a month ago for both wife and I. We both agree the value for money is fantastic but the hybrid's are incredible with lovely soundstage. Doubt you'd find better sound in a pair of in ears for less than £30. Really pleased.
Don't know if I was lucky but mine were delivered in little over a fortnight from China.
these sound fine but I find them quite uncomfortable due to the angle of the ear bud in relation to the 'piston' part. I would try the new ones instead.
