Videos on YouTube seem to indicate that it's the car that takes the AAA batteries, the controller uses a 9V battery.

We got one at this price Halfords just before xmas, didn't work so went back got refund, only worth £5 if that to be honest.

Bought one of these fir the dog at Christmas. They are good for a fiver, however they barely work on carpet and have awful range.
Still a lot of fun for winding up pets though.

They are fantastically well made for a fiver, but just a note to check when you purchase... We bought three at Xmas and they were all on the same channel so couldn't be raced which was really annoying.

I bought 2 of these last year and they're pretty good. The only problem is that they were the same frequency, so we couldn't do races as intended. We may have been unlucky but it may be that they only make it with one frequency.
