Although I expect the mechanics and gameplay to be virtually the same as Far Cry 4, I love the Stone Age concept in this one
This price is almost half the price of consoles so its a cracking deal if you have a capable system
Will release on PC on the 1st of march though, so a week later than console

Hmm you're damn right. That's my favourite period in history. However, Far Cry would just squander it with the usual mediocre mix (which presumably UbiSoft have copyrighted as no one else is making games with all these in) of skinning animals and yet they still have their skin on, leaves on trees and bushes that you cannot shoot anything through (including bullets) and about 8 lines of dialogue for enemies repeated for each enemy. Oh and about 4 for NPC's. Still if such repetition is your bag - by all means fill up their coffers. Means they don't have to bother trying very hard with the next 10 games in the series....

Ok.Think the medieval times would have been good with castles, siege machines etc.

Has anyone found the Apex edition cheaper than the ridiculous £45 price tag and is it worth getting my pants pulled down for the extra content?

Whatever happens this game will feature the amazing magic trick of "skinning an animal" only for you to look down and find it's still got it's skin on. How do they DO that?! :smirk:

Loved the concept of far cry 1, but I feel they lost the plot in 3 and 4, doubt I would get this but good deal, thanks

I was opposite, didn't like 1 or 2 but loved 3 & 4.
Blood dragon was meh!
I am looking forward to this though and it looks like ubi has finally got this engine running right from what I played on 4.

I agree, was also impressed by Far Cry 2 when it came out but 3 or 4 have lost my interest halfway through, felt far too similar
My interest is purely down to the Stone Age concept, I think its fairly obvious the gameplay wont be dissimilar from number 4. In all fairness though, 4 plays well, the story just didnt interest me enough

Still looking forward to playing this one after Far Cry 4... From the buzz as mentioned several times, this will be under £10 in a few weeks. Will be holding out for £17.99 on PS4 before I buy.

I'm a big fan of the series but not massively impressed with the gameplay trailers. They've taken out a lot of the good stuff like the variety of guns and vehicles and replaced it with some pretty tedious stuff like scouting with an owl

To be fair though, despite not having a phd in archaeology, I'm almost certain they didn't have AK47's in prehistoric times.

Why is the comment stupid ? Have u played the game ? It's more stupid comment to say the game is going to be good as Ubisoft don't have the best track record for descent optimised PC games. I guess u love collecting collectables on a boring open map and finding the high spot to unlock it. Ubisoft are boring games compared to other publishers and there games are normally horribly optimised console ports. I game on PC because I demand better gaming experience than a £200 console.
There is plenty of other games that are far more worthy of your hard earned £20 on PC

Far Cry 4 had a ton of good story missions and outposts to take over, and all that stuff was fun. The hunting animals was fun too. Climbing towers and collectibles were a small optional part of the game. It also ran fine for me at launch on my 970.

Your original comment is stupid, IMO. The game won't be rubbish. Just more of the same. I agree it isn't worth full price and should of been released at a similar price to Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon.

I doubt that but I can see the price dropping fairly quickly. This is FarCry 4 add-on material being sold full price.

Was it not the case that another company made blood dragon and asked them if they could use the name farcry and they said go ahead?
westy125

I see your point, it's the whole crafting things that bores me, far cry 1 and 2 was simply fps shooter, or having to go from one side of the map to the other to craft a spoon
