HEAT!
Brilliant little maker, the *ice crushing* facility is actually just a serrated edge on the blade ;-)

What was the original price? What are the reviews like and is it reliable??

30 Jan 16#27
It doesn't say what the original price was before and I don't know about the reviews but for £7.99 I think it will do what it suppose to.

Hmm, does this look particularly easy to wash up and keep hygienic after each use?
Thanks OP. The average review is 4 out of 5. Definitely worth a shot for £7.99 especially with 12 months warranty.

Definitely a bargain! I got it for about £20, 3 years ago and still running fine. Do watch out when washing the dispenser as it tends to get missed out.

Partner bought a £500 blender off QVC and prob use it twice a month for Kale and Spinach smoothies... Not good value
£7.99 = Good value. Cookworks are basic but for this price who cares?
P.s: you are not supposed to tell everyone its an excellent bargain... they are supposed to vote and decide for themselves, like the jury in the Stephen Avery trial
I've ordered one of these to use as a food blender and not as a smoothie maker. I take it I an use it as a blender instead?

Be careful with the nozzle - it eventually starts to leak as you need to open it up to clean all the nasty gunge and fungus that sometimes builds up inside it even if you think you have really cleaned it! Constant opening it up and re-closing it weakens the stopper! Design fault¬ Perhaps thats why its so cheap - always a reason for something to be cheap as chips!
