if it's the same as the pc version you have a huge universe to explore and a variety of activities to do.
and by "explore" i mean having to watch your 'fast' travel for 10min so you don't overshoot a waypoint, and by "variety" i mean repeatedly deliver packages and watch annoyingly slow landing/docking/undocking procedures.

Might be worth editing your title to include store details.

Thankyou. I'll attempt it. Using a mobile and I'm useless with it :/

If it's anything like the original classic I had on my C64 then it's worth buying an Xbox one for, that and Star Wars Battlefront

It definitely throws you in at the deep end and doesn't hold your hand either.

It is just like the original with updated graphics, annoying over shooting hyperdrive and an attempt at multiplayer... some would question if things should have moved on slightly in the last 32 years. In some ways Elite 2 had more going on, oh the good old days on Atari ST..
The first time you travel in to a system and star fills your screen is pretty epic though, the 2nd time still epic, the third time not so epic... the 100th time yawn.. you get the idea.

Yup. Although if you have a PC capable of running it then that's the MUCH better version - it has Horizons, looks prettier and will have VR support soon.
The original game was number 1 on my All-Time Best Games Of All-Time list, but that's now dropped down to number two since I started playing Elite: Dangerous. The only downsides to this remake is that the space stations spin MUCH slower so it's way too easy to dock your ship and it's WAY too easy to earn credits. I guess they had to do this because these days gamers don't have as much skill as us oldsters had and they wouldn't stop moaning about how difficult it is to dock and how difficult it is to earn a crust lol

The horizons update should be in the next couple of months. Might be worth waiting.

you need to buy brazil credit R$, i use offgamers.
you log into your gamertag at xbox.com go the bottom of the webpage and at the bottom change store region to brasil , redeem the credit and purchase.
you'll find it in your ready to install list on the xbox

Yeah, its no where near as good as frontier elite II or first encounters.
I don't see the point of it being online, I don't think I've come in to contact with another human.
Was looking at getting horizons but the unbiased reviews put me off. Still, it was only a tenner at xmas. Purchased as I was expecting to treat myself with an oculus rift for £300... which obviously didn't happen.
So I've got my oculus thrift of google cardboard headset, ps3 eyecam, phone, tridef, and moonlight / nvidia streaming which works pretty well.
Takes a little bit to setup the first time, but once registered there, you can buy again easily.
And if struggling to find a suitable address, just Google a hotel in the capital city..

It's certainly a game you have to invest time in, a lot of time. Time and space...

The ships skins should make it through the XBOX store hurdles soon, but I have no idea when the XBOX release of Horizons will hit; only that it's on its way.
I'd say jump right in and get the game cheap - but check it's your kind of game - there are loads of videos and websites about the game. It's a space simulator not a shooter, so if you want arcade rather than simulation, Elite isn't the game you're looking for!
Poke about on the Frontier forums for some of the XBOX groups to find others to play with. This game is great played in a Wing of four. Some find Elite has a steep learning curve, but do the pilot training; it is a must. The game doesn't bring anything to you, it requires you to go out and find it on your own and failure has serious consequences. You can get busted down to the basic ship if you don't keep enough cash for your ship insurance excess (the "rebuy").
They'll almost certainly be a discount on Horizons for players who already have Elite (as they did on the PC), so at this price if you get 25% off Horizons, you'll only pay £3 more (in total) than if you waited, but you'll get the game now. If you don't get on with the game, you needn't purchase Horizons and you've only shelled out £13 instead of £40. Certainly don't buy the core game before the Horizons launch at full price.

Using Revolut it is easy to buy from Brazil.

31 Jan 16#19
Wrong , if you want to use revolut for Brazil you have to have a social security number .

31 Jan 161#20
Wrong again, I use Revolut and there's no need for a social security number anywhere in the process. Seriously, get your facts right.
Just for the icing on the cake , bottom 2 comments on page 42 . The last comment on that page is from the guy who made the guide . I am wrong though anyway so what does it matter ?

Josh can you explain why I have just bought a game from Brazil today using my revolut card and a Brazil VPN and it went through with no problems. (And i certainly do not have a Brazil Social Security number)

no problem, I read the AV forums thread and they are adamant it cannot be done but used it twice now so maybe something changed.

Why you are lying I have no idea , you can buy stuff from Brazil via credit but not using any type of card as you have to be a resident .
