Easily worth that price.
The reason it got hated on so much is because the lack of content and crap career mode. But since launch they've been several free updates including players, courses and game modes.
As a simcade golf game the gameplay itself is great, also many may dislike it but I love the commentary.
People say The Golf Club is better but besides being way more sim the rest of that game just feels incredibly unpolished in almost every way.

Are you including 5% tax on these prices mate? Canada always charges the extra 5%.

Bad news... Canada charges 12% sales tax not 5%

Worked out at £8.34 on Canadian store for me $16 plus $0.80 (I presume tax). Still a snip at that price.

I have heard that Madden 16 will be next to go in the Access Vault followed by this game.

I was given that information several weeks ago to be fair when I complained to that person about the lack of anything new in the Vault since last Autumn.
I've never paid 12%. Paid $16.80 for this game this morning and that's.... 5%

I would have otherwise bought this now because it is actually a lot better than it was when it launched, and definitely worth this price now.
Used all the trial on it, but like many got 12 months EA access late last year when the codes were going on ebay for like £12. It'll certainly be in the vault long before that runs out so haven't bitten but a good deal for those without EA access.

It's not even worth £7.99. Awful game.

No one is suggesting buying gift cards. This can be bought directly from the website.

Canada has a federal government and two types of sales tax, GST and HST. GST is applied at federal level and remains at 5% whereas HST is charged at provincial level and varies throughout the country. HST is always charged in addition to GST if it applies at all.

every day is a school day - I thought credit cards / paypal etc were normally blocked so only way was to buy points / gift cards to get the games from other countries
Thanks, but this doesn't help to dispel the 5% tax rate mentioned in an earlier comment.
Some of the good folks out there may be unaware that the Canadian Xbox store list all their prices excluding tax which is applied at a rate of 12% for all digital purchases at checkout.
Here is a copy of my receipt for Shadow of Mordor, (where incidentally the tax is helpfully identified as good old VAT!)

You need to change your fake address to one in Alberta, Canada. That's where you've gone wrong.
