Apologies if this has already been posted, just bought this and seemed decent:
ONLY AVAILABLE VIA DYSON SALES LINE: 0800 2980298
Dyson V6 advertised as £199 on Dyson site, but if you call and say you're an existing customer* they offer it for £179.99 + free accessories kit (RRP £59.99). Free next day delivery and 2 year warranty.
Seems decent - Amazon / JL etc. (at time of posting) are all £199.
*You don't have to be an existing customers - no checks made, just tell them you are. Turns out lying does pay... or occasionally save you money at least.
** FYI this is the accs kit you get - anyone who'd pay £60 for it has more money than sense: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/home-appliances/floorcare/vacuum-accessories/dyson-clean-and-tidy-kit-12333967-pdt.html?gclid=Cj0KEQiAoby1BRDA-fPXtITt3f0BEiQAPCkqQUaDaTNxVuLrdkcIgWXX89CSPVA7JmVN61ySMQtZhSkaAlwk8P8HAQ&srcid=198&cmpid=ppc~gg~~~Exact&mctag=gg_goog_7904&s_kwcid=AL!3391!3!75531813324!!!g!125720556324!&ef_id=Vjty-wAABdGDLPA8:20160201151301:s
They only did it for £189 but that includes the free kit too, so I went for it.

Can you please explain the steps how you do this, is there any extra charge or problems related to setting up an account and buying the item on credit but the Paying it off straight away. Thanks

How did you get it for £147? I'm getting £199 - 20% = £159.20 ... Do you mean after tcb too? Thx
No charge. The very credit account needs to be a first time setup in order to get the 20% off. Simply set it up and buy whatever you want. Then you can pay as much or as little off as you want. I simply paid it all off in one go. It can take about 10 mins for a purchase to appear against the credit account but you can still make a payment. You could even use a credit card to pay it off to take advantage of many 0% offers. The very account is not something I would want to use but set it up just to save the £40

I tried earlier - really tried to haggle but no joy! Even pointed out it was £199 at a local Currys - evem went as far as quoting the better deals available at Very. Ended up being told their was no further reductions or extras that they could do :-(
Ah well.....was able to get the Very deal so got it for under £150!

Paid 220 in the frickin sale lol. These massive margins they use are going to destroy this company. This is the type of British crazy management crap that ruined companies in the past.

Mine arrived yesterday (only ordered from Dyson on Fri afternoon!) and the v6 is a lovely bit of tech. The accessories kit is sent Royal Mail so that's still on its way.
Got mine wall mounted. A lot of power for the size- replacing my 18v hand held vacuum. Highly recommended

It just worked no problem. Best guess is that it may be a sale item but its not in their "clearance" section so perhaps that's why! No idea though - it worked, its charged me £159.20. I paid 2mins after order so my credit balance is zero. The item has been despatched and is to be collected tomorrow. I was apprehensive at first but its worked just fine!

She offered the above bundle for £189 and will only offer if I provide the serial number of the existing Dyson kit.

I was told the same, and then she confirmed that when she actually placed the order, the price would drop by another £10

Hi bearpack I ordered this too and was only offered a £10 discount the same as 'naughty' - so £189 is shown on final invoice not £179. I was told the £179 discount offer had ended ?

4 Feb 16#34
Can this be unexpired? Definitely still on, I called up and ordered last night
The prices they offered me were £180 for the V6 (initially offered £190 but said they could take another £10 off at the end), £240 for the V6 Animal, £290 for the V6 Total Clean and £340 for the V6 Absolute. All with next day delivery and the clean and tidy toolkit (mattress tool, up top tool and another one that I can't remember) for free.
My friend also got a Cinetic for £300 (again they offer it at £310 but knock a further £10 off later).
I've been waiting for the V6 Absolute to go down in price a little more on one of the European Amazon sites for ages but with the state of the exchange rate at the minute and having decided that actually the Total Clean heads were better for me, I just bit the bullet and ordered the Total Clean from Dyson.
Thanks again OP
bearpack
4 Feb 16#36
It took some pushing but the guy told me that they could take an extra £10 off the V6 standard or the Cinetic (as my friend had got) for existing Dyson customers but it was at the call handler's discretion. I don't know which other models it applies to but they couldn't take it off the Total Clean which I ordered but I wasn't as bothered as I couldn't find it anywhere else for that kind of price.

4 Feb 161#37
I did try very hard to get the extra £10 off my V6 but they would only do it for £189, I'll just sob quietly in the corner  Mines still sitting in the box but if some of our members can still get it for £179 if they get the right customer service rep I'll unexpire, thanks
bearpack
4 Feb 16#38
Thank you  I was definitely offered it for £179.99 yesterday but went for the Total Clean instead. I was going to set up a new deal for the Total Clean for £289.99 but thought it was easier to unexpire this one as I didn't want to post duplicate deals for essentially the same phone offer

I think the total clean and absolute have more powerful suction than the others. The dust compartment size seems to be the same for all of them. I'm really pleased with my Total Clean and much prefer the larger brush head compared to the V6. I was all set to get the V6 until I saw them in a shop and saw the difference in brush head size.

Is the total clean one of the v6 variants? I have only seen the absolute and animal. How much would the total clean

10 Feb 16#44
Are there any different beside the heads among all these V6 models? Would the normal Corded DC19 has stronger suction that this? I am actually looking for something to have strong suction that can clean the dust mites on mattress, don't really mind whether is corded or cordless...
bearpack to terencetcf
10 Feb 16#46
Absolute has the strongest suction, then the Total Clean. If you order them with the free toolkit, it includes a mattress cleaning tool.

10 Feb 16#45
I paid £289.99 for the Total Clean, including the free toolkit. I'm really pleased with it, the hard floor cleaning head (like the one which comes with the V6 Fluffy) is brilliant :innocent:

Don't think the suction is as good as a corded vacuum but I needed a cordless one so that didn't matter as much to me. The suction on the Total Clean is still enough to lift your carpets on the max power setting (but then you don't get much run time on it). I use it primarily for hard floors though so super strong suction isn't as important as on a carpet.

They aren't, but Dyson will only sell the standard model for £269, where Costco are doing the same model for £189.
