Entry level SDS, seems to be well regarded by users. Comes with a hard plastic carry case. My old Bosch equivalent is still ok so won't be buying. For those that haven't used an SDS, these machines are excellent at tackling masonry and have a chisel function too for removing tiles or rendering and such.

Light chiselling sucH as tiles are fine. Over heats quickly if used for channeling screed or similar:(.
Recently used one for a 125mm core cutter in concrete block. Took it in 5 minute stages(10 min rest) and it was fine.
In other words good for DIY market where limitations won't matter.
For sds impact drilling it is perfect and goes into concrete very easily at 10mm or less.
Hot for this price....

You are right here, but when you buy pro range you actually expect it to last and be abused... In a trade you have tools to do jobs... aint interested in a tool which travels for repair every week :smile: Btw eventually it started loosing hammering force so had drill only use..

Had one similar model to this, same make killed it after half an hour of hammer use... Was not impressed at all. Bosch pro ones I had would get burn hot, once cooled would run and run... This one hot once and dead...Maybe just unlucky....

Thanks to the OP for posting this, but you can buy a SDS mains powered drill from Lidl for £40 and it will have a
3 YEAR Warranty, I think Parkside power tools are as good as most of the DIY brands and a lot better then some of them.

This Dewalt is a professionally rated drill and comes, as with all Dewalt power tools a 3 year warranty, Parkside are a budget Chinese home use rated supplier for Aldi and their warranty does not cover professional use. The excellent stackable heavy duty case supplied with the Dewalt is worth the £20 difference alone.

had one like this - with an aditional normal type chuck - never used it and in my opinion not worth having, if this was your only drill then perhaps, but If you have a battery drill and this then you should never need anything else for drilling, well worth £60 if you do a bit of DIY

just got one thanks, not a massive reduction on current prices looking sideways on google, but a reasonable reduction non the less and saved a few more pounds when combined with the 4 sds bits. I think I will take DeWalt over Lidls Parkside brand snobbery or not. DeWalt maybe not as good as they used to be but having borrowed my friends DeWalt sds drill last week I can confirm it performed admirably well.

110V models need a transformer, but this is a 240V model, so you'll be fine to plug it straight into the wall as normal. It has an SDS chuck designed to take SDS bits. You can, as danaldduck2 has done, add an additional chuck to take regular bits

It means it runs on 110v ac and would require a transformer like the yellow ones tradesmen use,
