Suits me as I have the DX9 version but never bought the DLC. Kind of crappy how they split the PC player base though, as the 2 versions can't play online together...
By the way, it is an "upgrade" but it adds Scholar alongside standard version in Steam library, ie. it doesn't replace the original game (with original enemy placements etc).

Playing dark souls 2 after completing bloodborne 140hours in and still not 100% but I am trying to do everything.... No farming either. Pretty new to dark souls but absolutely love it.... Bought dark souls prepare to die, demon souls. Many other games still sealed but I am still seeing the same screen over and over...... You died You died You died You died You died ; )

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition is only £3.49 at Gamesrocket.
I followed that link. Added to basket. Then registered and they jacked the price up to £3.95. They can GTFO.

Dark Souls is an amazing game. I would wholly recommend it. Even if RPGs aren't usually your bag. But a controller is definitely needed.

Is Scholar of the first sin an expansion pack or is it more like a "game of the year" edition. I.E is the base game included with it or would I have to buy it separately?

I've always heard about performance issues with the PC Ports of these games. Anyone care to comment?
I have a 360 (and PS4) so not sure whether to just buy these on those.

They've been community fixed (although cant comment on SotFS as havent played that iteration). After installing; download and install the DSFix patch and it'll make them run perfect. I'm pretty certain they're now available on the Steam workshop.
