I did the free 1 month trial for Kidspass.co.uk last month and noticed they do discount cinema tickets. Not only that but they do a heavily discounted Cineworld unlimited card. You can get it for £142.82 instead of the usual £202.80 . Sign up for the free trial then buy the cineworld e-code which you simply enter on the cineworld site. I just cancelled my direct debit for cineworld of £16.90 and bought one of these outright saving over £59.98. Please remember to cancel the kidspass subscription before the end of the 3 months or you will be charged for 12 months subscription...
maccy2016 - Ordered 2 passes. Don't forget TCB and get £9.13 back so £134.69 each. Works out to £11.22 per month for unlimited movies.
I work for Cineworld. You can use the Unlimited Card with a meerkat movies code. You can also use it with a CEA Card (carers card) but they must be registered to the same person as the carer is the person who goes 'free'.
If you have a premium card you can buy this code, call unlimited and they will update your current card. The phone number is 03303334444.

That would be an extra £4.90~ a month in comparison which would soon add up over the year since the initial agreement is for 12 months anyway. I think that's a little over what I would consider a few quid.

If your going to by, consider using tesco clubcard points, £96 in vouchers. Or if you are a Tesco employee, you can get adult cards for £175 and kids for £148. Also discount on pre-paid tickets, example two adults for £13, also popcorn and drink voucher for £5

Dunno if they changed the deal or not but the unlimited card was only valid for 2D movies, you will be charged the difference if going to see a 3D movie or IMAX.
Might seem obvious but I use to see a lot of people expecting to get these upgrades free. Still a great thing to have if you watch more than two movies a month at the cinemas.

Don't know if this was answered already not finished reading! But you can use it with CEA card ONLY if the unlimited is in YOUR name as technically the CEA card allows the carer in free subject to the disabled party buying their own ticket and unlimited would be classed as a purchase. - not the other way around unfortunately!

hairychad to redarrowrules
25 Feb 162#31
Buy this.... It'll be an ecode no doubt...
Ring up cineworld unlimited from the back of your card and say you want to do a black card upgrade..
you'll be sent a red card temporarily and then ring and give the number of the black card and they'll upgrade it.
I had been a black card for about 7 years so they even put my direct debit on hold for 3 months as a thank you and said call back before processing it.
Warning though.. They did mess up the red to black process so don't throw away the black card as you will have to :
• book online possibly pay for 3D upgrade for a bit... if you're paying 3D upgrade you'd be paying an admin fee too.
claim a refund on all of those when you get to the cinema (I was only seeing 2D films so I'm only presuming!!!)
• You can of course book at the til and show your card but you're risking getting rubbish seats or no seats.
• It took me over a month to get mine sorted and they gave me some vouchers for compensation..
This is all based on 3 people I've known that have done this now as my work have a staff rate that sell the cards cheap. £144 is standard rate for them I have to say... If you know anyone working in Lloyds or Barclays (and probably other big (greedy yes I know!) Corporations) then ask about their Colleague Offers Cinema Perks.

Cineworld adult e-codes are £5.50 for 2D and £7.75 for 3D. Child £4.50 / £6.25 2D/3D.

To buy 1 card or 2 for missus and I.
We have meerkat codes for another 6 months. Limited to watching on Tues/Wed only.
Unlimited card means most weekends, we can go watch a film not far from home. As long as we watch 2 films a month, we get value. We currently watch 1 film a month, £10 or £20 depending on days for us.
Does forcing us to watch more film a month just to get value out of it or keep with status quo, but with so many films coming out, plus many spotlight films we often miss because it's "not worth" the big screen experience.
Thoughts?
monjur0388 to seejaythinks
25 Feb 16#30
If you can afford two without struggling I'd say go for it. Plus, you can combine unlimited card ticket with meerkat codes to get another two free tickets every Tue/Wed (£0.60 booking fee each ticket). Gives you access to screenings too and 10% off cinema food (rising to 25% second year of membership), but always better to stuff a bag full of snacks from local supermarket! If you buy yours first, then find out what your referral code is, you can get hers shortly afterwards and she can email cineworld to say you referred her and you both get extra month free. If you apply for yours, you can use my referral code and get extra month so you'd end up with 14 months at no extra cost by the time it's all done

Defo worth it at this price even if you just go once a month it's like paying full price but I'm sure most people would be able to use it more than that.
You will find that not only will go see the top movies but because you have the card you will go see ones your not that bothers about as well you may as well!
The other thing you can do if you have time one sat is a cinemathon! See as many films in one day as you can. We have done it once and it's fun but surprisingly tiring haha

Seems expensive unless you're going to see a silly amount of films at the cinema, just for the sake of justifying your purchase.
Given how **** an experience the cinema is these days and how few decent films are knocking around at the moment, this is borderline the same price that I'd pay to just see the films worth seeing in 12 months plus I wouldn't have to go slumming it at a Cineworld.

I think you may have misunderstood; my understanding is that the kids things is offering a discount on buying a year's unlimited card which allows one person, ie an adult (though I suppose you could buy one for a child), to attend an unlimited number of screenings. Outside of that the kidspass doesn't come into it, you don't need the 3 months, all you need is 5 minutes but I suspect you can't buy that.

So just for those with a premium and direct debit. I've bought a code and called them, they said they've cancelled the card (mine ends 15th March). Then to purchase a new card using the promo code, and call them back with your old unlimited card number (so don't throw it away) and your new temporary/card number. They'll then merge it and make it a black card, and you'll get a new premium card, with the promo code added.
This is only for DD, if you pay annually, they'll just add it on.

Just phoned to extent my membership, which started in January. Was told I'd have to wait till 1 month before my membership ends to use the e-code. Only problem is, it's only valid for 9 months. Any suggestions?

You can definitely book using the CEA Card online and Unlimited Cards (if you sign up to MyCineworld and link the card to the account). Pretty sure you can use Meerkat codes online too but I'm not sure as I've never done it myself!

Hi. Apologies if this has been covered but I can't find it. I have a current Premium unlimited card which runs out in September, can I use this code to extend my subscription? I really appreciate the help. Thanks
Coreydeals
29 Feb 16#148
Just had a check, and it seems to have been covered, but with 147 comments even I only just found it. You can purchase the e-code, give Cineworld a call on the number on the back of your card and they should be able to add it to your existing card.
"I work for Cineworld. You can use the Unlimited Card with a meerkat movies code. You can also use it with a CEA Card (carers card) but they must be registered to the same person as the carer is the person who goes 'free'. If you have a premium card you can buy this code, call unlimited and they will update your current card. The phone number is 03303334444."
It was actually in top comments too  Hope this helps.

29 Feb 16#149
If you pay annually, they are able to extend your current card by a year.
If you pay by direct debit, you will need to cancel your current card and then apply for a new card. As the e-code is valid for 9 months, you can purchase it now and wait until September to cancel and re-apply. (If you need to cancel and re-apply, if you call them, they will send you a black card instead of a red)

29 Feb 16#150
Thanks SO much for the info. I have just rung up and extended it by a year (pay annually) - now runs out Sept 2017. I'm tempted to extend it another year as i've had the card since 2009 and always renew it so, as well as getting it cheaper, guards against future price increases.
Do you know whether there is a limit to amount of times I could increase my subscription by?
Thanks again!
walderston
29 Feb 16#151
Believe the kids pass website only allows you to purchase a single e-code meaning you'd need to create another kids pass account.
Not sure about how many you can apply to your Cineworld account - might be worth to call and ask?

Just rung Cineworld to check how many times you can increase. They normally only allow someone to renew 1 or 2 months before the renewal date (think I just got lucky earlier), so would need to wait until around December this year to increase it again.
Does anyone know whether the kids pass Unlimited offer is a one off or something they keep on there?
Thanks

When you purchase through kidspass you just get a code, you still purchase via cineworld but enter a code that acts as a giftcard I believe, but on TCB there's the disclaimer "you will not receive cashback on purchases paid for by giftcard.", so although mine has tracked, I'm not sure if it will be paid.

You CAN combine this with Meerkat Tues/Weds, and there is no cost for the 2nd ticket, other than a 70p booking fee, so for two people for a year the cost is
£147.02 + £0.70 per time
Examples for a year
Once a mth = £6.48 per person per viewing
Twice a mth = £3.42 pppv
Every week = £1.76 pppv (this is the maximum you can do as Meerkat is once a week, not both Tues and Weds)
Cheapest way to get Meerkat movies is to use their site for a 1-day UK only travel insurance policy, usually with NRV, and costing less than £3.
Of course there's no reason 2 people with 2 email addresses can't get 2 Meerkat codes and use a different one for Tues, then the other for Weds (unique codes), but you have to have gone on Tues before you can re-book for Weds using Unlimited, i.e. you can't have 2 bookings live.
That would be very cheap, £1.06 pppv, but you might run out of films to see!

The deal link above is now dead. However they are now doing a 1 month trial for £1. I signed up to this and was able to get the discounted Cineworld card. Got the West End card for £167 instead of £238 which is a bit of a result!
And I just cancelled my membership via the website - didn't even have to phone up.

Worked perfectly for me a month ago. Paid £1 for a month's trial and then cancelled after getting the cineworld card.

Might seem obvious but I use to see a lot of people expecting to get these upgrades free. Still a great thing to have if you watch more than two movies a month at the cinemas.
Unlimited cardholders get 10% off all in-cinema food and drink purchases at all times*.
Regular Unlimited-only email newsletters updating you on the latest releases, exclusive Unlimited cardholder offers/competitions.
Invitations to Cineworld Exclusive advance screenings.
You can watch a film in our VIP seating area in our participating cinemas (currently Ashton-Under-Lyne, Castleford, Chichester, High Wycombe, Jersey, Wandsworth and The O2) for just £2 extra*. Simply get your ticket (and pay your £2 uplift) at the participating cinema on the day of the performance (tickets not available in advance/online), but get there early as they are subject to availability**.
Premium Unlimited - continue your membership after the first year and we’ll upgrade you to the Premium Unlimited card at no extra cost. The Premium Unlimited card comes with exclusive offers*, including:
a massive 25% off food and drink on every visit
unlimited 3D movies (without paying anything extra)
your new, distinctive black Premium Unlimited card.
Seems like it includes it if you continue your membership after the first year.
The Unlimited card and my Carers card both are under my name...
Can she buy this e-code and extend her current card without losing the Premium benefits?
Odean, Vue and the other chains are all similar prices.
Lots of workplaces are eligible to join CSSC.
Thoughts?
Were now on our 2nd year so have black cards now.
Combine with TCB/Tesco restaurant voucher deal and you have very cheap date nights
I assume you have to register and pay the £1 to have access to all the discounts/offers available which I don't want to do if it's not going to help me.
You will find that not only will go see the top movies but because you have the card you will go see ones your not that bothers about as well you may as well!
The other thing you can do if you have time one sat is a cinemathon! See as many films in one day as you can. We have done it once and it's fun but surprisingly tiring haha
We saw 4 movies in a day with breaks for lunch at the spoons over the road and tea at bella. Got there at 11am and left and 11pm
If you have a premium card you can buy this code, call unlimited and they will update your current card. The phone number is 03303334444.
Also don't forget you can apply recommend a friend code during application which will add 1 free month.
Btw mods here are very touchy about people posting Cineworld refferal codes so don't post or ask for any...
period by calling 0161 244 8225 Monday – Friday from 08.30 – 17.00 or by writing to us at York
House, Vicarage Lane, Bowdon, WA14 3BA. You will receive an email to confirm the cancellation
of your account plus a cancellation reference number for your records
Thanks for the tip snakey_b
Given how **** an experience the cinema is these days and how few decent films are knocking around at the moment, this is borderline the same price that I'd pay to just see the films worth seeing in 12 months plus I wouldn't have to go slumming it at a Cineworld.
Is the e-code just entered after the upload photo and personal details section?
This is a great deal btw. Heat added.
how much is the cineworld ecode on kidspass?
This is only for DD, if you pay annually, they'll just add it on.
I pay by direct debit and got my card last November
Phoned Cineworld and they told me I can only use code once 1st 12 months membership are up. They said I couldn't change my payment now from DD to voucher. Original posts seem to imply you could give the code and cancel your monthly payment??

1 month FREE trial
Cheers.
Also remember Cineworld let you take your own snacks into the cinema (no alcohol or hot food) so no need to hide all your chocolate in your pockets!
And the Unlimited Screenings are great too, they have a few every month and you get to see films earlier than the release date. And sometimes get free popcorn or sweets.
Not of use to me as I can get cheaper via my work discount scheme.

If you pay by direct debit, you will need to cancel your current card and then apply for a new card.
