Great film from what i can remember, didnt realise it had so many famous people in it.
The Incredibles director Brad Bird's brilliant animated sci-fi debut, remastered with extra scenes. In 1957, America is in the grip of Cold War paranoia when a hulking great robot (Vin Diesel) crashlands in the woods near the home of nine-year-old sci-fi enthusiast Hogarth Hughes (Eli Marienthal). Boy and metal-munching alien giant soon start to bond. But when sinister agent Kent Mansley (Christopher McDonald) starts sniffing around, Hogarth recruits beatnik artist Dean McCoppin (Harry Connick Jr) to conceal his clanking friend. Witty, sophisticated and determinedly retro, The Incredibles, Ratatouille and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol director Brad Bird's multiple award-winning feature debut from 1999 is adapted from Ted Hughes' much-loved 1968 children's novel. It's brilliantly animated, melding the 3D computer-modelled giant seamlessly with traditional 2D characters and backgrounds. This Signature Edition has been lovingly remastered and is enhanced with two brand new additional scenes by animators who worked on the original film.

Ace film this! It's up there with the very best Disney animations (it's not a Disney), it a really good story and well delivered.
Currently on NowTV (or maybe Netflix?).

Really brilliant film. I'd highly recommend taking your kids to see it.
Not sure why it wasn't a massive hit when it was first release (1999), I guess they marketed it poorly. It's a shame because it's a really nice story with a strong anti-gun message delivered perfectly.

Warning - don't take 3 year old girls unless you want to have to dry a lot of tears from them being scared! On the other hand, I loved it!

We went today. 2 and 3 year old girls loved it and sat through it. The did a box of drink, popcorn and chocolate stars for 2.50 which I didn't think was bad compared to the usual cinema prices
