Can anyone help - I got this and the chromecast is here yay but how do I add the film to my library? I got a receipt (I bought it with MI3) - but was I supposed to get a voucher code too? I can see my invoice number but nothing else. Its not currently in my library - thank you!

update: after an email about the wrong film they have sent me a code to redeem the second film free of charge when it is released.

These chrome cast only work via certain apps...on a normal tablet or phone yiu must install something like the blue and white chromecast app...but then you are limited to what google accepts. bbc I player, you tube, etc are all there...if youre trying to get other stuff like films etc , install the All Cast orange colour app.... then you must send everything to the all cast app to get it to go to the chromecast app..... not so easy, but worth trying....check you tube for help.

My Chromecast V2 takes power from a USB port on my TV

Probably expired due to the problem of giving the wrong film. I got a reply back via email saying it's been raised to level 2 support so there was definitely something wrong with the promotion.

Also afaik it can be plugged into the TV USB port so doesn't need to be plugged into the mains

Having the same issue with getting the first film instead of the sequel, which isn't actually released yet so might be given aswell on the 15th. Also no mention of Chromecast in the confirmation email.

I have just bought and had same confirmation of the first film. I have just emailed customer service and will phone them in the morning.

Yes you can do that with both V1 and V2. My V1 still works perfectly after about 2 years and almost daily use. I understand the V2 has the 5Ghz band and AC wifi which should make it easier to use in a congested setting and potentially also deliver a more stable, faster connection.

Can you stream Netflix to a TV with Chromecast V1 or V2?
