Hola works as a peer-to-peer service. It's popular for changing your Netflix region. They also sell access to your internet connection to others.
If you don't understand why this is bad...
Imagine someone being able to use your internet connection (as you) to:
download child pornography,
try to hack into webmail accounts,
try to break into online banking systems,
spam forums and vandalize websites sites
All the while using your PC and your internet IP address.

We should create a definitive list of which games can be bought on Nuuvem. Sometimes it states that 'this game cannot be activated outside of Brazil/Latin America' on the actual listing, so it's not even worth trying with those because even if it did let you buy you'd be stuck with a region locked key. But if it doesn't say that and you can buy the game just using a simple VPN such as Hola (not recommended) or TunnelBear (preferred!), then it's a global key. If you get as far as completing checkout with Paypal, only for it to fail at the 40 second countdown, then I think those are probably region locked as well, even if it doesn't say so (because if it fails at that point it's because it's checking your Paypal details and realises you're not from BraziI from your address/lack of Brazilian ID).

However, there have been some games that I've successfully bought that I've tried to buy additional copies of at a later date that don't seem to work anymore, so they much change it from time to time. Would be great if there was an easy way to keep track of all of this.

It's a Brazilian website so... Brazil! I use TunnelBear - it's got a monthly bandwidth allowance but it's more than enough for things like this (just remember to turn it off when you don't need it!) and it's very stable/reliable. Just turn it on before you go to checkout and leave it on until the transaction is successful.

I just downloaded tunnel bear app on the iPhone and used safari. Paid with pay pal and was all good. Europa IV would not let me buy it so I assume that been blocked. Both batman and both mental gear , mortal kmbat complete , Lego , mad max , Miami hotline 2 and waste land worked for me. Hope that helps you

i finally managed to get tunnelbear to work for my purchase as it hadnt the first few times i tried

wondering if anyone has bought Dariusburst-chronicle-saviours on nuuvem as it works out about £11-12 but didnt wanna waste my money if it is a region locked key.. though i did read that it worked for americans who bought it from nuuvem so thats a good sign yeah.

plus, it may be worth pointing out that the discount code for the 10% off can only be used once.. wish i'd known as i used it on the test run before buying a few other games... but i couldnt use it again!

Pretty sure I tried Shadow of Mordor without success sometime last year - usually if a game works all the DLC for it works as well, and vice versa. Maybe that's changed as well! Might give Sonic a try later...

Just tried Lords of the Fallen again and it worked! Haven't tried Dying Light as I got that in the Steam Winter Sale, but I wonder if the new The Following DLC for it will work? It's not on sale but even so it converts to £8, or half the price of the Steam store. Or the season pass, which includes it, works out at £11.55, compared to £23.99 on Steam.



I've tried Cities Skylines DLC multiple times with no success, but I did get the Road to Gehenna DLC from there last month when I got the Talos Principle from the Humble Monthly.

Got Metro Redux but says region locked on steam :disappointed:

Same using tunnelbear, gets to purchase authorisation and comes up with 'operation cancelled' That time I tried the Talos Priciple DLC and Cities Skylines DLC

They seem to be using alot more region locked keys now might be why i'm not having any luck, tried Kholat, Gat out of Hell + dlc (dlc of dlc...dlception) and Killer is dead

Those could have been a while ago, I have bought others which I didnt mention because it was so long ago. I too got some LEGO games but I think nuuvem stopped selling Warner Bros games for a while.

Just checking my library; it says I got Lords of the fallen on the 11th Sep 15 and Dying Light on 5th Sep.

Seems more reliable on pc rather than Android browsers, even using chrome on Android set to desktop using TunnelBear sometimes fails where as PC works fine

Interesting - when did you buy Lords of the Fallen, Dying Light and Dead Rising 3? Pretty sure I've tried all of those with no luck. I've also had some Lego games from there, Goat Simulator + GoatZ DLC (for about £1!), The Evil Within + Season Pass, Mount & Blade Full Collection, The Elder Scrolls Online and all the DLC for Rome II: Total War (although sadly it won't let me buy the Attila DLC).
