Just buy Supermarket own brand Paracetamol Oral Suspension for kids. It's exactly the same as Calpol and at least half price. Still way cheaper than this "deal".

You'll have to choose something else as your 3rd item, as per legislation you can't have 3 paracetamol products.

Yes, just checked, you cant buy 3 calpol, you'll have to choose an item not containing paracetamol as the third item. So its not 3 for 2 on calpol.
I bought 3 together without any problem
Not sure how to upload receipt from mobile device

Anyone who doesn't pay for their prescriptions can do this which does involve certain benefits as well as children, over 65s, certain medical conditions etc.
You can't just walk in and get some, you have to essentially be ill or displaying symptoms and it's down to the pharmacist's discretion. However I don't see why we should waste NHS funds when you can buy cheap medicines like this anyway. To be honest everyone should have something like paracetamol at home anyway.
A similar scheme does run in the UK but you have to check if your pharmacy does it.

I can't buy own-brand children's paracetamol as it sends two of my children loopy (doesn't affect the third child in the same way though). Calpol is the only brand that do a 'full sugar' version, all the own-brand ones are sugar free.

It's not free though, it's the rest of the UK subsidising you...
