For each of these eggs that is bought, tesco will donate 100% of profit. So why not buy your eggs and help an amazing charity at the same time?!

It's OK, Help For Heroes skim millions off of the contributions anyway in the form of £4.2m (£9.2m for the group as a whole!) in wages, including pretty disgusting salaries for the senior management team made of of 12 people on over £60k, and one lucky person on between £90k and £100k!! It's good to know that your donations are going to good use

I work for Help for Heroes... I have the privilege every day of seeing how the money raised supports our wounded injured and sick servicemen and women! Thank you to anyone who contributes even a little 'every little helps'

"International influence"? Seriously, who exactly do we influence? We send jobs to the Far East, we buy in goods en masses from China, who also give us "investment" in the form of power stations that we will pay through the nose for, for the foreseeable future! We are the lapdog of the US, and we are so influencial in Europe that we can't even sneeze without permission..... Yeah, those billions have been put to great use

All wages and administration cost comes out of H4h trading. So that 82% of all other donation go to the troops. Any profit from the trading at the end of the year goes back to the charity. So self serficant. Try looking g at other charities that only donate 25% out of every £ to therent good cause.

In terms of % reaching the front line ( did you see what I did there )... H4H is one of the better ones.

Easter eggs aside, a fair number of my ex military colleagues hold a fairly dim view of H4H in general.

Having worked for an armed forces charity, one of the oldest in the country which also does overseas work, I am inclined to agree with you 100%

Try cutting foreign aid and giving to our hard working lads how sacrifice plenty for our safety. Fat cat directors of any 'charity' should be stopped!!

Does it state the minimum donation? I myself would rather buy a cheaper egg of the same size and weight, for example a Cadbury egg that size would cost me around £1.50. Then the other £2.50 can you direct to the charity. All the rubbish in the comments about HFH skimming is a load of crap. All charities pay CEOs ect and have to spend money to earn money.

That's your opinion and as such it's valid. But my comment about skimming off the top is not "crap", there is no link between performance and pay, look at MP's!!! They COULD and SHOULD limit their senior pay in a vein similar to your suggestion, someone committed to the cause would take a fraction of that pay, it's simply not right to squander that much on pay when it should be going to the cause..... that's surely why people donate?

Also, why not just make a direct donation if the egg thing is an issue?

They're happy to spend the money on defence and weapons, so maybe they should be happy to spend some of that money on the consequences of war.

"FFS" we are allowed to discuss, look at any thread and people will make comment on the subject at hand, this place would be boring as hell if you had your way  There is no insulting and no arguing going off and there doesn't need to be either. It's called adult conversation, if you don't have anything constructive to say, just ignore the comments and move on, it really isn't that hard is it?

They don't NEED to run as a business, they could very easily appoint voluntary senior management (I know that we do!!!)

Bit early for Easter eggs.....we haven't even started Lent yet. And in the Orthodox churches Christmas isn't even over yet. But I admit the show starts with the first Cadburys Creme Egg advert so....

So less than a Million for the head people. I guess the other £3.2million is squandered in collections, fund raising, providing the charities services etc.
Same old stuff every charity thread. They still need to run as a business, which is never free.

I'm not saying you're wrong but the money must come from somewhere.

Agree, but it goes further when greedy beggars skim a huge chunk off of the top.... and of course H4H are far from alone in doing this.

I totally agree that the top salaries are horrendous. However it is run as a business and I would imagine in proportion to what they raise then this is a small %.
It's no different to pretty much every charity to be honest!
The work they do is magnificent though

Like any charity, they will happily let us voluntarily pay out for things that should be paid for from tax including this, hospital equipment and air ambulance etc (this was all covered in a recent air ambulance thread).
