Mmm... This is a good price, however aren't they shutting the FM transmitter off in the next 12 months or so? I wouldn't buy any radio that's not DAB now.

I don't think so, There has not been enough take of DAB/DAB+ yet. Also I don’t believe a firm date has been set yet.

Nope. Not yet. FM will hang around for a long, long time.
Who wants to listen to an MP2 stream at 64kbps IN MONO?? Yep, your super duper shiny DAB stereo blasts out most of your tunes in mono, at a bitrate equivalence of roughly 48 kbps in MP3 (64 kbps in MP2). The last time I listened to an MP3 stream at 48 kbps was probably when I was downloading music using Kazaa via the dial-up modem in my gigantic desktop, err about 15 years ago. And that was in stereo.
The problem is the limited bandwidth available for DAB, and it will get worse, not better. DAB+ was believed to be a fix but no signs of significant improvement yet.

I think I will get to enjoy my Denon TU-260LII FM tuner coupled to my Cambridge Audio amp for a very long time.
