Budget Bali break? There is plenty more to do and you could extend this trip to see more of Bali including the north of the island. Flights are with China Eastern and you will be in Bali 19th May until 1st June.
Bali has an abundance of cheap places to stay and you could easily reduce the price by picking cheaper places to stay, but the ones I've picked are highly rated and ones I saw when I was in Bali and I personally stayed in the one in Ubud. May and June is also the peak time to travel so there will be plenty to do.
19th May
Due to your arrival time you are best taking a taxi or private transfer to Sanur. It is only 30 mins from the airport. Stay in Sanur for 3 nights. You'll stay at the Puri Maharani Boutique Hotel. Owned by a king of Karangasem, Puri Maharani Boutique Hotel and Spa features an outdoor pool and restaurant. Free shuttles leave for Sanur Beach and Hardys Supermarket every 2 hours. If you're after a cheap place to eat check out Little Bird. I had my Christmas dinner here in 2014 for about £2. Cheap and tasty..
22nd May
Leave Sanur and get a driver or hire a moped, use bus etc to take you to Ubud. You can go via various temples and religious sites, such as Tanah Lot, waterfalls etc..... A driver will cost around £25 for a whole day I believe. Spend 3 nights in Ubud at Nyoman Sandi. Again this is a personal recommendation. Clean, well maintained and whilst easy to get everywhere you won't be disturbed by loud mopeds and traffic. Yummy breakfast too.
If you are a cat lover please visit Villa Kitty and give the cats a cuddle or donate. They do some fantastic work rescuing cats and kittens abandoned in Bali.
25th May
You'll need to get to the ferry point for the fast boat to Gili Air. You can book this in advance with companies such as Blue Water Express and I'll include the price here but to be honest it is much better booking when you are there. It takes about 90 minutes on the boat, most offer free pick up from your accommodation in Ubud. Spend 3 nights on Gili Air. You'll stay at Damai Homestay which again comes highly recommended. You can literally walk round Gili Air in an hour. I'd strongly recommend Air over Gili T which is more focused on parties, drinking and a younger crowd - of course if this is what you want then that's fine!
28th May
Take the boat to Lombok and spend 3 nights here. There are plenty of places you can get a boat. We used a dive company and it cost around £8 so I'll include it here for pricing. Again plenty of places you can negotiate on prices. You will stay at Pondok Anggrek Putih in Sengiggi in Lombok.
Lombok is lovely, completely different to Ubud and surrounding areas. You could adjust your time and spend more or less here but a definite trip is to head to Rinjani for amazing views. Very tough but worth it.
31st May
You'll fly from Lombok to DPS airport around tea time with Garuda for your flight later (in the early hours of the morning on 1st). You could check your bags in and then catch a taxi to a nearby restaurant if you wish.
I've been to Bali around this time of year (May-June) and it's wonderful.
Great find, you've inspired me. Heat!

I love Bali. It may seem you are travelling around but what's the point of lying in a resort for two weeks! Bali is an amazing place, lovely people and Lombok is pretty special, kind of like Ubud before it because popular. I can't recommend Villa Kitty enough if you are an animal lover (dogs or cats) please go there for a few hours if you have chance or donate. The work they do is amazing.

You can fly from Lombok to Denpassar for 50,000 rupiah ($2.50) if you purchase your ticket on the island itself from a travel agency. I've flown the route many times and it is subsidised by the Indonesian government.

Heat for the effort you've gone through. Was planning to go too but not these dates.. Was thinking more of Seminyak and Ubud? And day trips to Legian / nusa dua etc. Any reviews / recommendations on the places?

I didn't go to Legian and Nusa Due so I can't I'm afraid. Ubud is nice - touristy but Yoga, massages, visit Monkey Temple, get lost among rice fields etc. Hire a moped if you don't mind it being a little chaotic in traffic or a driver/taxi it's very reasonable to get about. If I went again I'd bead to the North from the ferry at Pandangbai but Lombok was my favourite.
