Got one of those, we use it regularly (6 months daughter). Plus 5-7 times a day for the past week, as I had 40.5 fever for most of these days. Really really accurate. Pointless getting an under-the-arm one.

Why pointless?

Hope you went to see the doctor if you had a 40 degree fever for a few days...preferably one in intensive care

Got one for £21.50 from Tescos Aldershot. They had around 3-4 more on the shelf... Now, wish I hadn't coz of the further price drop :disappointed:
Great accurate thermometers... and similar ones (rechargeable) are used by the NHS... Have some heat!

I've bought 2 of these in the last 3 years and both have been terrible!! Child was obviously burning up and the temperature came back as normal!
both returned and replaced with £5, under the arm, ones from Boots.

Agree with you, i really had to ask my self if I needed the Braun thermoscan, as I have two "under the arm" ones which work perfectly.

The cost of prophylactics would take away its bargain in the long term.

Heat added as this is an excellent device, although I suspect it's store specific.

Yellow stickers are store specific, I scanned all the baby stuff reduced today and was still £21.50 in my local.

Totally worth every penny, think I paid £30+ but it's the most accurate one out there and it's the one my doctor uses!

Saw this on Sunday at the tesco beckton superstore for 21.50 which is a bargain, then came back Monday and they were taking down all the baby event stuff so probably that £10 reduced price was a once off
