I agree most chocolate bars are simple these days probably to save money but it doesn't have any ingredients too dissimilar to a picnic!

By the way what the heck happened to Cadbury "Fuse"? that was an incredible chocolate bar!

I never tried the Fuse. Now I read up on it I WANT ONE!!! No chance of course - those ingredients would probably have made it too expensive to make these days. Plus if they ever brought it back like the Wispa it would turn into a funsize multipack bar anyway :disappointed:

The only thing that annoys me is that as consumers we have bent over and taken the apparent good deal in "full sized bars"when in fact they are now more like an old snack size. We then go nuts when they offer us a cracking deal on these smaller bars and forget what the size used to be like. The only bars I haven't seen get smaller (to my own eyes) are ripples and double deckers! Opinions?

It might be down to the government's responsibility deal for calorie reduction. Instead of changing the recipe of your favourite products, they reduced the size. On the other hand it could be just profit as inflation and prices of ingredients can only account for so much but if they lower the price to compensate size reduction, it will encourage people to buy more thus negating the calorie reduction.
Soon I'll just be eating 2 tiny ones instead of 1 standard size.

Mars, Crunchie, Boost, Bounty, Kitkat and Snickers are full size, but Wispa and Twirls are def smaller. Have seen mars/snickers smaller but normally full size.

Double Deckers are still impressive beasts of a bar. You can easily eat two of most other bars these days. But two Double Deckers would make me feel sick. (Unless I happened to be really really hungry).

Absolute rubbish - if you were eating chocolate in the 80's which in guessing you weren't then you'd know that the sizes these days are ridiculous in comparison to back then. A snack size back then was just a bit smaller than the full size these days. And yes I know my gob got bigger with age!

They used to have Bounty miniatures , which have now become extinct and are only available in the Middle East.
The Bounty drink used to be delicious until all the dessciated coconut was removed and now it tastes like choco milk.
The Bounty ice cream used to be proper ice-cream size , now it's the size of a chocolate bar at a whopping £1.80 price tag!
