They are not really good for tight spaces...

I was looking at one of these just after christmas but in the end I bought the 10.8v Wickes one which has a Samsung battery, quick charger, torque control and variable speed. Worth the extra £12.00 if you are looking for something light to use which is what I wanted for putting furniture together and light screwdriver and drilling jobs.

See my comments on the previous iXO mk 4 version posted here a long while ago for £14.99. If this new version 5 is anywhere near as good this is a great buy. I personally have screwdriver bits by the ton & am not fussed about a case for such a small item but this is great as a first buy. In my experience it's one tough little item which I used for putting my gates up. Heat

Great screwdriver, lots of torque and the battery lasts an age. Good to hear the direction button has been moved as on my one it is easy to knock it while using it. The only remaining negative is the lack of torque control, but if that's not a problem it's a fantastic tool.

No torque control, so won't be a great screwdriver, you have to buy a £13 add on

Direction button is now on the top, NOT above the trigger, which is a vast improvement.

I use both, my impact driver does the jobs this can't but both useful.

Good product but seems a bit daft having to buy torque control unit separately which nit only adds cost but makes product more bulky as well...

About my favourite tool ever; saves so much time, and makes flat-pack furniture a doddle for one person in a quarter of the time.
I'd buy it again, even if it were £100 - although mine's still going strong after about 8 years.

One of the best things I used to have until I got a cordless Dewalt drill. The Dewalt is better than this in almost every possible way so I got rid of this pretty promptly.

The Dewalt is a drill, but I use it over 90% of the time as a screwdriver. Obviously costs quite a bit more than this though.

One of the best most useful tools I've got, incredibly powerful for its size. Just remember it is only a screwdriver though.

This is an excellent screwdriver! Battery doesn't drain when not in use. Even better that it comes in a case, I'd recommend to anyone.

I bought one of this Bosch model's predecessors from a B&Q clearance bin by the cash register a few years ago (for about £7 if my memory serves me right). It lasted just a few weeks (of fairly heavy use - it was pretty handy whilst it lasted) before the battery would not hold a charge. It was so cheap I didn't even bother returning it (would have cost more in diesel to go into town and back).

I suspect the one I bought was just a rogue item, or perhaps it was very old stock as B&Q were selling them off so cheaply. What is the message: these work fine but the batteries don't last long, and they are not replaceable.

One of the best investment for any diy enthusiast

Heat. I'm buying to replace the one I brought 10 years ago, (still working but battery life depleted) absolute great tool for flat pack, general DIY around the house, tinkering. Has lots of tork, it's light and nimble. No brainer.
