Thanks to the OP for posting this.
The tap type spool on these is awful, I spent more time trying to get it working then I did cutting grass.
I bought a Bosch one that uses the wee blades and it is simple to change the blades.
I buy third part type blades, a lot cheaper then the Bosch ones and just as good

True the tap spool is awful, the ones on the Stihl re brilliant but they are much more expensive - you get what you pay for in most cases

Grabbed 3 from Banbury, one for me and the other two for gifts. Will invest in some stronger strimmer wire. They still had 19 in stock at 5pm Saturday.

Like the other users said about the problem with the strimming line frequently breaking off, but replacement line is cheap (e.g. 20m for £1 @ Wilko), & mine still runs well 10 years since I bought it.

I've got one of these - and can confirm they are utter rubbish. You spend more time trying to get the strimming line coming out, than you ever spend actually using it - it snaps off about half a dozen times within 10 minutes.

Reserved the cordless one which has blades. It'll go with my cordless hammer drill and cordless hedge cutter which all use the same battery and charging system.
