I got the boardman limited edition - advertised sale price online is £379. I got this In store in halfords for £300. With the sale was give £100 of free bike accessories. You can chose what you want from bike accessories with any of the boardman bikes that are in the sale

Stupid comment based no doubt on one bad experience!!! I have had many bikes from Halfords (although bike snobs such as yourself may refer to them as "bike shaped objects") and they have been fine. However, my mate bought a Scott from Evans and it was set up so badly that the seat span around on the post, the brakes didn't work and the chain fell off the top of the cassette!!!! Does that mean that Evans are crap? of course not, does it mean one employee messed up? more than likely!!!

Bikes are EASY to take apart and re-assemble. I would highly suggest going on youtube and learning to do it all yourself, as it will save you a lot of cash in the long run!
I went from having to take my bike to the local bike shop to adjust the dérailleur to taking apart a pair of Epicon forks for a mini service.

Enough nonsense....check the gear ratio's.... but the single most important thing; make sure the frame size is correct for you.... There are plenty of guidelines for this.... On Youtube GCN have a decent explanation on frame size / fit....search "GCN Frame size" There are lots of others guides on Youtube....about frame size....

It's was in Kirkcaldy in Fife. There was only one on display but not sure if it's instore only but with £100 to spend on accessories it was good deal

Good winter bike for the money. I got an ex display ltd Ed from Halfords in Perth 14 months ago, paid £220 with a set of SPD pedals thrown in. I would phone around, there will still be some display models to be had.

Folks - be aware, this bike will also work in Autumn and Summer. However, I'm not so sure about Spring, you might have to dig into the specs a little to find that out.

The bike is not online for this price. I went into halfords and got the deal. I don't know if bike was ex display but the £100 pound accessories are instore at least in Kirkcaldy with all of the sale Boardman bikes. They're last years stock. Sorry I don't know if it's national
