Please note that these don't come with the heat deflector. Noticed this when I saw them for £11 last week.

WoW even cheaper than the Screwfix one I bought some years ago for a tenner. Just need to go on a goose chase now :innocent:
Many uses, as above or as I'd more likely use it for, is to shrink tubing onto wires. Also bliddy good to keep you warm on these cold days & nights (not recommended)

A lot of screens, like my wifes nexus 2013, have the screens glued down. You need to heat the glue enough to melt to be able to peel the broken screen off.

I was going to ring my local and ask them to check it on their system (I assume that's possible in 2016?), but ended up heading down there anyway as I needed some other stuff.
Found 5 by the way, in Chesterfield.

I believe he is referring to using the heat gun to separate a laminated display. This is not for the faint hearted, but as the many youtube vidoes show, if done right you'd save a packet in terms of not having to send it to a pro for repair.
Just pick up a pack of Becks 15 x 275mL (now on offer for £9) on your way out, and swig a couple of cans before you start the job (to help with focus).

On your car? Surely this is caused by heat in the first place so doesn't it just make them worse? Or do you have to almost melt them making them smooth?

It will melt if you hold it in one place too long. The heat from the gun releases the oils within the plastic bringing them back to new condition. Lots of vids on YouTube

Just phoned Tesco told that they could check stock for any store unless it is on HUKD, you can't phone the store itself cos they won't tell you either, they want you to visit so you will spend more money, every little helps!
