I bought a few cans of this yesterday. The -10 description is rather misleading because that is the undiluted protection. Despite this, I'm happy to use as summer screen wash at this price. I'll have to find something stronger for next winter.

I use the -20 stuff in the winter good price tho

I bought stuff today from local motor factors, 5 litres for £4. Diluted 5 parts water to 1 part screen wash and that will not freeze up until -5*C. This is false value as it will only work up to -10 as it is in the bottle so it is basically diluted already for winter use.

Jesus, how much screen wash do you lot use? Bought my car in August, it's only just ran out now.

Smells nice, but smears a LOT -presumably that's why its always on sale...

I got some of this month's ago and diluted it. First use a few days later and it smelt like sewage!

In dry desert heat you get lots of dust particles/residue

My brain's hurting now...

Halfors did/do 2 types of this berry scented that works to -10 degrees."Concentrated" and "Ready to Use". I can't see any difference (apart from price) other than the fact that the concentrated version gives details on the bottle as to how much water to add for different temperatures.
For -4.0 degrees C dilute 50:50
For -1.5 degrees C dilute 4 parts water to 1 part screen wash.
So "agingersheep" must be getting at least -20 degrees undiluted, for £4 for 5L
Maybe he could post more details as Halfords are charging £6.99 for 5L.
I have been using Halfords screen washfor 3+years with no problems and bought 2 more 5L today.

No. Just popped into my local store to pick up my reserved items and was surprised to see the price was back up to £4.99. I queried this and was told that the price went back up on Thursday. Luckily they honoured my reservation so picked up the 6 for £15.00.
