Still a decent bike for £189 with disc brakes and the quality of the bike

No doubt. It was on my short list for a bike around £200, but ended up holding off buying a bike for the moment.

Wouldn't have been much of a deal anyway with courier, the bike was selling for £189 until the price drop.

I bought one from the Oxford store (size M) and had it shipped by courier to Bristol for £35 via ParcelMonkey. The people at the store were very helpful and it made it here in two days. Highly recommended.

Seriously? £35?! You should try senditnow (ParcelForce). I use them all the time for large items - a couple of bicycles, a lawnmower, a kiteboard just to name a few things I've had them collect - and all for under £14 each time. Never had a problem with them.

If I'd realised they would've considered couriering for me, I'd would have had one. Never mind, too late now int it.

I would recommend this. Doesn't cost a fortune and has tons of positive reviews:
my foresight was good, I bought some chafe-eliminating shorts in decathalon at the same time as the bike. They were only a fiver I think. definitely worth grabbing some as my gentleman region remains intact for more riding today!

Lights and bell are standard on the bike, which I thought was a great idea. Only issue I have is I think I need a padded seat or padded shorts, my ass is killing me after my bike ride yesterday :-D

They will consider 'inter store deliveries'. Worth ringing up and asking for them to send it to one nearer to where you live (I successfully did recently)
