They are basically milking this franchise for all its worth now. Even this year where they said they were going to tone down the amount of AC games that release yet they released two or three mobile AC games already and thats since 2016 started! The franchise peaked and died with AC 2 as far as i'm concerned. If any franchise needs to die its the AC franchise.

Unity sucked bugs and crashes even after patches the most interesting and intriguing AC in recent times would be black flag it has game play spanning on sea, land and air with splendid hunter missions in sea and land. Yet to play syndicate but doubt it will beat black flag game variety!

Horses for courses. I couldn't get into Black Flag and never completed it. Loved Unity and thought it was an excellent game after being patched

I hadn't played an AC since AC2 but thoroughly enjoyed this. The characters are cool and old-school London is portrayed really well. Gameplay hasn't changed a great deal of course but it's good fun nevertheless.

Good price but can get the game plus the Amazon steelbook on PS4 for £1.01 more  (or for £1.95 more on Xbox One)
There's nothing stunningly original about this, but I really enjoyed it having given the last few games a miss.
Jacob and Evie are fine as lead characters and the London setting is great with the feel of a real live city.
There's a lot of collectible "stuff" in there, but they are in a difficult position - leave it in and people will complain even though it's optional, but take it out and it will seem too sparse.
Anyway, for £20 there's a lot of hours of gameplay in there. A very good deal.

Very similar to my own take on this, Black Flag being the last AC game I played. This is very good and there's plenty of gaming for your money.
I think it's important to take a break from these annual iterations, got so fed up with COD I don't even bother with it any more.

I preferred Unity. The story writers are scraping the barrel now.
The last one I thoroughly enjoyed was Revelations.
The protagonists post Ezio are forgetful.
There were that many side missions on this that i lost track of the story so many times. It's a junk hunters paradise.

Good price but having played and platinumed all the games - I'd have to say that this is the worst AC game. The game has got to the point now where the fetch and kill mechanism with new clothes every year.
They need to go back to the drawing board with the whole franchise.

Not what I was wanting to hear.
Unity for me was exactly as you described, was hoping this would be the refresher the series needed.
